I watched him speak at my masjid tonight. He's a really smart guy and has some good ideas. I didn't know anything about him before tonight other than that he's the first Muslim congressman. I have to say, I was very impressed with the eloquence in which he spoke as well as his views and values.
He certainly impresses, even though I (probably) despise his politics. I had not seen him speak before but I certainly get the impression that he's a man of character and keeps an even keel.
