thank you for preserving this video of good old xbox live. This system was ahead of its time and damm has it been that long. To everybody that has game consoles keep them and cherish them because in less then five years they will be no more. I personally believe that consoles will be replaced by the cloud system. The only thing you will be able to purchase is the controller configuration and OS to play it on.

A nice vid, thanks for sharing. Is it possible for you to put up some annotation with the names of the games as they change. Some of them look really cool and I'd be interested in buying them? My own personal feelings are that M$ cut the live-line of the Original XB way too short and I would have like to see them support it for longer. Look at Sony and the PS2, they were making games for the PS2 well into the P3 release. Let's hope someone can workaround this live void.

You can still experience a pretty decent v1 XBL. google about it and you will see there I think is 2 different services each are free. I used one many years ago and it was ok for the most part but you will only see main stream games being played. But still, like the vid poster said. Keep hacking, modding and help save our community.

Its very easy to get to your messages so i dont know what your talking about. in game cross voice chat is just a feature, its not like PSN doesnt have any features. it has PS Home which is a social powerhouse. PS Life is a very useful feature and the quality and service is just as good as the new XBL, so dont give me any of that bullshit that the new XBL is better.

@51rickjames Some games don't even have ingame invites, and you have to send it as a message. XBL is one click of a button. The messages take forever to load in game. And I don't have a valid opinion on Home because none of my friends use it. Xbox Live is just easier to use, it's not like I hate PSN. If anything, I hate Xbox Live because they charge you for absolutely nothing.

@chadheck96 Thanks for not saying any curse words like most people would say. but anyway, yes the invites that arnt in game sometimes load slow, but after a while you get use to it. but i recorded the time it took me to press the button and accept the invite. psn only took like 2 seconds longer, so not THAT much of a difference. You should try Home, even if your friends dont use it, you can make friends there, like i just did literally 4 minutes ago talking about how we hate cops xD

You guys know that a lot of people use Xboxconnect to play online, without having live on original xbox?

There's a wide variety of games that you can play online, 360/or original xbox + there's mostly people playing halo 2.

Google "xboxconnect" to play online with other's, or xlink kai that's another program. All you need to do is put your ethernet cable from the xbox to your computer, and make sure your internet is on, if this helped anyone please thumbs up.
