i listened to this a lot when I was a kid (on my my mom's record) and over the years I've googled it a lot looking for it with no results. Thank you ! Its one of my favorites :)
@53ryawn or you are hardened to such from seeing too much, heard too much and have no trust or faith in man...or their imaginary gods. I've no time for cults and goodness knows...I've YET to see a religion that wasn't some dispicable cult.
Thank you for posting this. I've searched for hours on google, trying to figure out the name and who sang it. Hadn't heard it since the 60's. Love it, gives me goosebumps!!
I've been searching for this song for nearly 30 years and didn't know what the name was and here it is! God bless Waylon and this poster. Awesome song!
around 40 or so years ago I heard this song on Waylon's album for the first time...today, it has more meaning than it had then...when Jesus comes back and stops time as we know it, what a day that will be
@vwwerko I tunes doesn't have it :( but somehow ( not sure how I did it) I was able to make this video into an mp3 file, downloaded it, and then added it to my itunes library, although it won't let me rename it so that it files in with the rest of the Waylon Jennings songs.
I would like to thank acashfan1 for posting this seldom heard song by Waylon. I had this cassette years ago when it became available and the reason I bought Ladies Love Outlaws was for that very song, Revelation. It is on the box set by the Bear Family, along with many other great Waylon songs. But finding Ladies Love Outlaws on anything other than vinyl maybe a cassette will be remote at best. Very Strong Tune! Oh by the way, Waylon is right, Ladies do love outlaws.
I'll never forget the first time I heard this song! It was the day after Waylon's death. KVET in Austin Tx played it as I was driving down 35 to Buda on my way to work! It was a shocker for sure! Beautiful song!
I first heard this back in late 79 or so and people thought it was new then. Most radio stations I ever called this song in had never heard of it and I could never quote an album it was released on.
@doughesson My Mom has 26 Waylon albums ranging from the 60's to 80's and it IS on one of them, I used to play her records(this song in particular all the time), I will try to go through them and see which one it is, if I find it I will write back.......
Waylon made a comment about singing this song, How it was so OFF the BOOKS as to his regular singing. I wish I could find them and post that here for you all. His last movie was Outlaw Justice with the Outlaws... he only had a few short minutes in where he was shot, In the scene you could see how his leg was really killing him from the diabetics problem. I'm only 49 but I grew up and sustain myself on his music.
I have some old Time Life shows and it is like all of us OUR CHANGES.
Thanks acashfan1 for posting this wonderful song. First heard it while stationed in Utah. I searched everywhere for it and could never find it. Lived every line in the song.
This is one awesome song. Until today I had only heard it once. it was on the radio one day about 1981 or 82 and was on my way to the fieldhouse to workout for football. I have remeber the song ever since and looked for it but never herad it or seen it again until today.
Tell me that is not power, and its just as good as I remember it being.
A BIG THANKS to acashfan1 for getting this song on YouTube. I have loved this song for years. Waylon's is the BEST version ever done. To date I have yet to find this version on Waylon's CD's. It was originally on his LP album "Ladies Love Outlaws". I wished everyone could hear this song.
I've got tears running down my cheeks right now. The first time I heard this song I was sitting all alone in a parked car at the end of an ordinary day. This song touched me deeply then, and I'm still affected by it now. I do believe the we'll see Jesus some day.
Accept Jesus as you're lord and savior, believe in him and that he died on the cross. Know that you're a sinner and ask him to forgive you. thats all you need to do.
If this song don't bring a tear to your eye then i guess you really have no feelings cause god this song got to me i had a dream amost like this i know i woke up and started thinking about how i'm liveing my life i need a change but i don't know what i need to do
I had this song when i was young, i lost the album in a fire,, i have looked for it for a long time, thank you for putting it on here. I have been a Waylon fan all my life. his voice and this song gives you chills. thanks again.
Yeah man, I can't be certain this is the best Waylon song because it's like choosing the most beautiful sunset. I like your appreciation for it though. It's one of my favorite songs.
This song makes me want to be a better person... I wish we could all get a good shake on the shoulder when it's time to buck up... I know I could use a full on throat punch...
what cd can i get this on?good song.have you noticed that there are all thoes songs about vietnam and the expeariances of the times then but,the war that we are currently in you dont here so many songs about it.
This is the best waylon album of all time. A case of beer and "the ramblin man" will put the hurt on a man.
