Anyone know how to program the slider on a joystick to work as the throttle in Rise of Flight?. I just got my copy yesterday and I can't find a way to do it. In the "Input" section of "Settings" I'm not able to make any changes at all. What can I do. I don't like using the keyboard to do my thottle.

Isn't there a throttle button and you can just move your slider when you want to customize it and it'll say "Button J" ? That's how mine works on Flight Sim, and most flight games.
It runs on its own custom-developed engine, which is capable of very realistic physics and atmosphere modeling. Do a search for "rise of flight physics" :)

RoF devs wanted to make it for il2, but long story short, no cigar.
They then (Again, long story short.) met a team with their own game engine for a sikorsky helicopter simulator, the end result is, so far, Rise of Flight.

WARNING: You only get 2 planes in this game and you have to pay nearly $8 US for additional planes.
The videos lie and show you being able to fly more planes when you in fact have to BUY THEM.. Total cost for this game if
you buy the additional planes is $150!!!
It's VERY buggy also. lots of complaints on the support forum

When you Rise of Flight don't download microsoft direct X.
There is a computer virus atached to it.
It's pretty nasty. If you didn't have this issue it's probably because you downloaded direct x before yesterday.

No it's not a rebuilt of the Il2 engine. In the beginning of the project it was but they changed their mind and started with a new engine.
