Floyd will kiss the canvas guaranteed against Pacquiao. I've come to that conclusion because of the Mayweather vs Judah fight. 1-4 round of fight Judah was kicking ass with his speed; however, he does not have the stamina and mental game to hang in there. With that said Pacquiao has stamina, speed, and mental toughnes to beat Floyd. The guy goes 43 rounds sparring straight when in training and just keeps improving and listens to Roach and sticks with the game plan.

If the Pacquiao vs Mayweather bout will happen on Oct 17, I think what manny can do to steadily break mayweather's defense is to work the body and to fake while coming in so that if mayweather commits to the fake, manny can counter him. Also, mayweather is not used to fighting southpaws. Mayweather cant time southpaws as well as he can time right handed fighters. I think Pac has big chance in winning the fight. Basically who ever executes their gameplan well early will win the fight. Peace!

Pac's perfect weight is at 140. He will beat anyone at that weight. At 147, I don't think he would be dominant at all, natural bigger guys can handle his power. Yeah, Marquez and Floyd will meet at 147 but Marquez is biting more than he can chew. His style is competitive but he isn't bringing any power to that weight, we'll see. Mosley is after Manny because of the money and the P4P title, no belts involve so it isn't appealing to Pac's camp to take a fight at 147.
well, marquez and floyd are both defensive boxers- strength may not matter too much; although, floyd could easily switch to offense the way he was in the lower weights- and with a smaller opponent that would be easier, plus, floyd can also clinch a lot. it could be one sided. but i hope marquez's team knows what they're doing. i thought depending on belt/sanctioning commission, belts could be at stake even at a catch weight- this happened before, i think in one of the leonard fights.

no. ray robinson is the best ever. and remember henry armstrong. there was only 8 weight classes in the past now there is 17 so its much easier to go up the weight classes. 122,126,130 etc is much easier to do now if then in the past. if he beat cotto and mayweather he would be the best fighter of the decade not ever

i dont know where to start. he fought david diaz at 135. david diaz was the 4th best fighter at 135 in 08.Casamayor had the lineal title at 135. the 2nd best was nate campbell who beat the 3rd best juan diaz and dont forget juan manuel marquez who was the 4th best and is now lineal. if u would pull ur head out of ur ass to see that hatton was lineal at 140. that was the 4th lineal title. pacman lineal titles r 112,126,130,140, 130 and 140 were not traditional divisions.MORON

Cotto hasn't been the same since the Margarito fight, i dont see stamina in Cotto. I like Cotto, but Manny Pacquiao is just to quick and accurate for Cotto. Power is in Cotto's side but that's what was said about Hatton (2 rounds) Margarito, Clotley exposed Cotto, Pacquiao saw these fights in the NY ring side that is why he agreed to fight Cotto

mayweather marquez is now postponed- poor ticket sales? more likely than the rib injury, which was supposedly cartilage related according to schaefer. but such injuries are reported as pain symptom- a complaint by the patient- so it could be faked. with this postponement, i have no idea what we have to wait for- is this a plot for a pacman-mayweather bout? pacman is seriously retiring next year for the congress.

i dont see mayweather fighting pacman just yet, even if he beats marquez. i feel they're gonna make him work his way to pacman after facing a few top contenders. after those few, then he'll get the chance. he's also fighting marquez who's moving up in weight to fight mayweather. marquez isnt complaining but that's probably also why PBF wants JMM of all the welters. after pac-cotto, if he wins and feels comfortable taking on the welterweight division, then mosley's in the picture.

i believe cotto pacman will happen before mosley ever joins the picture. i dont think arum and roach want him to fight mosley, he's pretty beastly plus the whole weight situation. i think they'd rather take cotto since hes been at somewhat of a downturn in his career, even though he "won" against clottey. arum and roach see the opportunity and i think they're giong to take it. mayweather on the other hand, not in the picture unless he beats marquez and at least a few other top ranked welters

Floyd will kiss the canvas guaranteed against Pacquiao. I've come to that conclusion because of the Mayweather vs Judah fight. 1-4 round of fight Judah was kicking ass with his speed; however, he does not have the stamina and mental game to hang in there. With that said Pacquiao has stamina, speed, and mental toughnes to beat Floyd. The guy goes 43 rounds sparring straight when in training and just keeps improving and listens to Roach and sticks with the game plan.

hmmm pacquiao and cotto. that would be an interesting fight. what i think will decide that fight if it happens is if cotto can land his jab. he doesn't really have a powerful right hand from what i've seen but throws it very straight. if he can't establish his jab he will be in trouble. if either one of them gets caught with something big they could lose by ko because both of them have suspect chins. cotto is a left hand dominant fighter and you need a good right hand to beat a southpaw

If the Pacquiao vs Mayweather bout will happen on Oct 17, I think what manny can do to steadily break mayweather's defense is to work the body and to fake while coming in so that if mayweather commits to the fake, manny can counter him. Also, mayweather is not used to fighting southpaws. Mayweather cant time southpaws as well as he can time right handed fighters. I think Pac has big chance in winning the fight. Basically who ever executes their gameplan well early will win the fight. Peace!

i dont think pacman's last 3 opponents were custom made. no way. its easy to say that AFTER those fights but NOBODY said that BEFORE those fights. they said he was too small BEFORE the fight then when he destroys them, they scramble for excuses AFTER the fight. instead of jus accepting that pacman is jus that good, they rather accept that his opponents were jus that bad. Refined or not, Manny comes to fight so if we are crazy fans, we'd been cheering the right way for the past 3 years. Manny is a combination of a fighter and a boxer, Mayweather is only a boxer not a fighter. People like to see Manny because he mixes both well but if you wanna cheer for someone like Mayweather who runs and hugs all the time, be my guest. The rest of us will enjoy Manny's fight and we'll see who feels like they got their money's worth at the end.

there is this buzz that arum has problems dealing with mayweather who likes to do the promotions himself. it's really most likely then that the pacman indeed fights cotto as you said-- but even after that it would still be doubtful to see mayweather against pacquiao, who is thinking of retiring next year in view of running for office (again).

yeah. zab would be a good sparring partner for a southpaw-- in the fight i saw zab almost scoring a knockdown on floyd (his glove touched the canvas). and zab sneaked some hooks. floyd's defense has clear weaknesses?- but roach plans to break mayweather via the body or anywhere as long as pacman punches to pressure floyd- maybe similar as in the game plan with dela hoya vs floyd.

yeah. that's fair. bigger guys are now afraid of manny- they don't like shedding a few lbs. in an interview with brian (espn) roach did say breaking floyd's body. and roach would like to see floyd try the shoulder roll on the ropes because they have something for it. i don't think they will use strength for pressure; it would again be speed and punching volume. and probably a secret weapon (uppercut? straight on the body?).

thanks for comments. Im more suprise that pacman fake a right hand ducked a punch that was on the way from hatton and then hit him with a perfect left hand. i knew he had power but he isnt the best ko artist ever or something like ur saying.

pacman is barely a refined fighter, let alone a perfect KO artist. but the pacman is effective despite his weaknesses. marquez and mayweather are definitely more refined than the pacman. and he has a certain charisma that makes people think he's invincible- can't blame the crazy fans, "fan", short for fanatic. the pacman is too small even at 135; diaz had a bigger body frame. but i hope he could move up to 147 still (although roach doesn't like it). roach does not like his fighters to lose.

LMAO, I agree with you. I'm Filipino and I didn't even think Manny was gonna knock him out like that. It goes both ways too though, I saw a Pac hater trying to discredit him saying Hatton wasn't all that good, so I replied that he should have won millions then if he knew this all along because if I knew beforehand what would happen, I would have bet all my savings on Manny that night. Needless to say that it was Latino fan making that comment lol.
It's just bragging, that's all it is.

Pac's perfect weight is at 140. He will beat anyone at that weight. At 147, I don't think he would be dominant at all, natural bigger guys can handle his power. But you have to look at the fact that people are coming after him and Mosley has been campaigning for it. Mosley is hesitant to go down to a catch weight at 142, let's be fair. Manny is small so if you wanna fight him, compromise.

yeah. the bigger guys have to go down to meet pacman but it seems after the dela hoya incident, no one would be willing to get even a bit dehydrated. cotto would not want to go lesser than 145 and mosley, not below 147-- maybe it's negotiation. but is it true that marquez-floyd will meet at 147? and if cotto/mosley meet manny in a catch weight, is/are there belt/s at stake?

Yeah, Marquez and Floyd will meet at 147 but Marquez is biting more than he can chew. His style is competitive but he isn't bringing any power to that weight, we'll see. Mosley is after Manny because of the money and the P4P title, no belts involve so it isn't appealing to Pac's camp to take a fight at 147.

well, marquez and floyd are both defensive boxers- strength may not matter too much; although, floyd could easily switch to offense the way he was in the lower weights- and with a smaller opponent that would be easier, plus, floyd can also clinch a lot. it could be one sided. but i hope marquez's team knows what they're doing. i thought depending on belt/sanctioning commission, belts could be at stake even at a catch weight- this happened before, i think in one of the leonard fights.

i'm a fan of the show, i'm a huge boxing fan. i dont have a favorite but i can tell you who is a good fighter. now who ever Pacquiao fights next (cotto,mosley,mayweather) it will be big money. now mayweather dont interest me as a boxing fan, just cuz i dont want to see Pac chase May around the ring. Pac fights toe to toe May is to chicken to do that. Mayweather will have a hard time with a left handed Pac like Zab did. that shoulder roll will not work as a defense Pac's left hook will catch him.

carlito, this is my 2 cents: in the argument of fighting a washed up ODLH, why do you take credit off Manny in this fight? #1 Manny took the fight even when the "experts" say it is a mismatch for him #2 it will then lead to "experts" saying ODLH was weight drained in that fight BUT REMEMBER: Manny took the fight NOT knowing ODLH will not blow-up back to his usual 160+lbs self. but Manny took the fight anyway just on blind faith that his coach says he can win against Oscar. why dscredit him 4that
