  • If I understand correctly, the assistants for both sides are students of Hattori Nutrition College, so technically, neither side has an advantage when it comes to assistants.

that is correct to be honest Dr Hattori was the ture chairman not the actor who pkayed the chairman of iron chef

  • It seems as if the challengers don't get to bring in their own assistants. That being true that would put the challenger at a disadvantage. It would be better if they were allowed to bring in their own assistants.

Otherwise, a challenger could bring in Joel Robuchon and Alain Passard as 'assistants'.

If there is an advantage the Iron Chef has, it is in familiarity with the format, the time constraints, and the layout, but otherwise it tends to be a fairly even contest.

  • if you recalled, challenger Ron Siegal had an issue with his assistants he got because they didn't speak English, luckily for Siegal, he still manage to beat Iron Chef Sakai

  • That woman commentator talks too much.. but I love the voiceover they got for Chef Ma. Sounds like the perfect fit.

  • You're insane, she is almost always right, so what are you complaining about? Would you rather hear a man talking crap than a woman being right?

    just a question.

But i have to agree, I love the voiceover for Chef Ma.
