  • I'm working on this melody myself ^^ It's very fun to play! I play the Clarinet though

  • "Bravo...ti faremo saper..."

  • doesn't anyone know that this movement is supposed to be played slow? hahaa, i must be the only person to play it slow D: sounds so much better slow and bring bring out the tone in a cello. :)

  • @SarahScrew well its not meant to be too slow. Set your metronome to Moderato. Remember that it is supposed to be a dance with SOME energy lol

  • @07843827259 hahaaa, so, i played this faster, and, my teacher complained at me. :L fail much? :L

  • @SarahScrew lol i play it slower

  • great job. i only have one tiny critical comment. Get the bow closer to the bridge man!!! up where it is you're missing out on alot of clarity of sound. beautiful interpretation

  • actually you should listen to this here -.-

the distance from the bow and fingerboard give different sounds and different strengths and weaknesses. for example for a slow song like Le Cygne where it requires long bow, you would bow closer to the bridge.

when you require swift jumpy-like movement and sound it is better to play closer to the fingerboard as the resistance is slight to non.

  • actually, you should listen here ^_^

Bowing close to the finger board will reduce resistance, but the sound quality will suffer. especially in upper positions.

  • baroque at its best

  • are you going to do the iconic prelude to the first suite anytime soon?

  • wow! that was so good! i like this way more that the yo yo ma version.

  • If I had a nickle for evey time someone posts that. Exactly what speed should it go? Bach didn't include any guidance.

  • Loved it. You had some neat features like not vibrating that last note but letting it ring like an organ. Really good!

  • excelent..........wow

  • still think this is the best version of this song ive ever heard in my life as are most of these cello journey episodes

  • look at those fingers go! that bit with the string crossings gets me every time....I just can't get it to sound clean! The Cello Journey episodes are so great, thanks!

  • You play it freaking fast, but perfectly! Love it.

  • I played this song for a recital, like three years ago, and I can't believe, well actually I can, how bad I sound compared to you. But I've improved since then, and now I'm really getting into cello playing and I want to play this piece again. I also want to play the Hungarian Rhapsody by David Popper, but for me that's probably a good year away.

Anyways, a job well done on a very good piece!!!

  • great energy, really nice overall

  • i love this cello

  • that's a good cello to play bach on =) liking it

  • This is so clean it's ridiculous.....good job.

  • yay! my favorite.
