Hello, I have EOS to M42 adapter. I dont use any other optical convertors. On this video the crop factor of APSC sensors, so that the width of the shot picture is the same like with any other 50mm full frame shot. Maybe it appears to look like full range of focusing.

How you make your len shows normal on your 550D? I have the same len you have but I am using the 7D. Pentacon 50mm 1.8 len are M42. So I do have adapter but when using it..... it only shows when I put it closer to any object like macro lens. So how you make your len normal wide like your video shown?
