I'll think his association is about the begining in the sequence at 1:40 of this Track. The intervalls are really similar to Jarre and the upstairing sequencing is also typical of that. But in all its a totally other kind of sequencing and sound source.
Klaus was doing electronic music before Jarre became famous. I love Klaus' music, i love Jarre's music but Klaus was doing commercial electronic music way before Jarre did 'oxygene'.
Much of the classic synth recording style came from analog sequencing which had anywhere from 8-32 steps. The result are the typical repetitive lines and phrases.Making these patterns groove and space are the jobs of the artist. I like many styles of sound design like this example!

Jarre is fine as well, of course! Some parts here do sound like Jean Michel but it's still typical Schulzonian!

Really don't think so. It's just the other way about. IMHO JM Jarre was inspired by Klaus.
