  • so cool!

  • Olympus is AMAZING!!!

  • Rooster

  • wait... so the cameraman is also the narrator?

  • @avelinosk yep!

  • I WANT THISSSSS

  • Thumbs up if you saw a Lexus commercial before the video!

  • WOW!!!!

  • i can:t wait until these become surplus, so i can buy one,

  • that's freaky cool!

  • It would be wrong to make an IPad knockoff.

  • this would be good for checking Authenticates in Money, passports and what not and could even be good for FBI or CSI cases.

  • the display is bull...

make it usb compatible for pc and mac with appropriate software

and also add WiFi connectivity to work with iPad's and other tablets with dedicated apps..

and you've got a breakthrough device..

  • @praneethdamian and cupholders, don't forget about those.

  • @Schneeraubtier

will you ask for a cupholder when you already got one?

  • @praneethdamian

The display is easy to use. What's so bull about it?

To make it USB compatible? That would mean this thing is popular enough to warrant a use outside of industrial use, which I highly doubt. No one in public is smart or interested enough to use this for a good cause.

Wifi connectivity is pretty useless. You would waste an additional 3-6 years of research just to allow this thing to be displayed on another device?

Also, commercial tablets are NOT suitable for R&D.

  • @nisbahmumtaz909

well the display is bull as it adds an unnecessary cost.

The responsive of the display is shitty 1:01 compared to the ones on iPad or galaxy tab the user interface is hideous and difficult to use

Making it USB compatible and using it with 3rd party applications is a huge advantage for consumers.

Wireless connectivity, a much more comfortable form factor along with a well designed easy to use user-interface will definitely improve productivity.

  • @praneethdamian

The user interface is only difficult because you don't understand Japanese. It's seriously easy. As for responsiveness, I concede. I don't really know how the iPad or Galaxy feels like, so I can't argue.

I honestly can't imagine normal people using these things. I always see people who actually know what they're doing with this. Not people just buying things out of whim.

i just don't want them to waste time trying to include unnecessary features.

  • @nisbahmumtaz909 I'm a normal person and I would use it because it's interesting. With a telescope you can see large objects slightly closer (planets, moons, etc). With this you could see anything 10, 100 or 1000x closer. Not only that at each magnification you might see an entirely different range of things! I only hope it is affordable because as you said I don't think the average person is imagining things they can do with it or that it could be accessible to them

  • @flexcapacitor1

I too am curious about this neat little thing, but it would be better off in good hands.

I'll just continue dicking around on my computer. I suppose it's only fitting.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but, ins't Olympus a camera's and lens brand?

  • @jocaworld300 microscopes have lenses so??

  • It would be cool if there was a mode to "walk" on what you were looking at like in a game

  • very nice, i think i would just end up using the mouse though, i dont see how touchscreen is better when you have to lean forward and get fingerprints all over the screen with fat fingers, it just seems less practical to me.

  • Oh man i usually do not see anything at all when i look through the.microscope lens, now its on a screen like looking out a mirror clear and undistorted

  • Yes! replace those crappy microsopes at our school labs!! Would be cool if it can be wireless to your tablet ect

  • I think that the multi touch display is useless there. A simple mouse control would have been enough for lower cost and faster navigation.

  • hello there camera man @1:10

  • @titaniumdioxides

    Oops! ... umm, Hi!

  • olympus is back to on its track!
