Thanks. I know it seems like I'm older because of the way I excel in writing. I have always been ahead academically (no offense other people ;D).
I can see how you think of bible stories are mythical and superstitious, they sound very impossible at times.
I find it interesting to see and read other people's religion and beliefs, that's why I felt that I should share mine with a historian like yourself. It makes life all the more fun. You can find all sorts of things on YouTube. :D
As a historian I must add that the so called "census" did not actually happen. The census story acts as a bridge to join two different stories as to where Jesus was what time. It is important to remember that stories about Jesus where written down many, many generations after his death; there are no 1st hand accounts, only old stories handed down from word and mouth. It is fairly possible that Jesus actually never existed.
@masala505 I agree about the census thing. I was taught differently. But as for MY belief, I think that Jesus existed. I'm not saying you're wrong, and as for all I know, I could be wrong too. But if you think about it, all the pieces really do fit together, and if you read the Bible and the Book of Mormon, you'll get all your info there. I'm not trying to change your thinking, I respect that. I am almost twelve years old and I have a VERY strong testimony of my Father and Jesus Christ. :)
@cammiharwood Great post....you're only 12? It's hard to believe when you write such intelligent and thoughtful posts on Youtube. I'm from Switzerland and we don't really believe in Gods, Jesus, etc. We tend to think of bible stories as interesting but mythical and superstitious...not really based in fact. Having said that I certainly won't try to change your mind. You seems smart enough to find your own way. I'll just say read lots of different stuff ...and I wish you all the best!
God is humble, I see obedience to god, when Christ became a man, before Jesus was a man, he was a child, before the word became flesh, the word was God... and God keeps his word to humanity today with the presence of the amazing love and grace of the holy spirit
Actually I just stumbled upon this little gem, this fairy tale that sooo many people obsess over. Really, it is worse than the Twilight and Harry Potter series, the utter fandom towards this work of fiction. I just don't get it, the story is so subpar, full of contradictions and factual errors, yet so many people enjoy this "Bible".
The only thing that is kiddie is holding on to such primitive beliefs, and your denial of facts (ironic considering your name).
@JohnBornstein I believe in this story, but I think this one has been tweaked a little bit. If you want to know the truth, read Mormon stuff. The Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible tell you everything you need to know. If you don't want to read them, that's fine by me. Just don't go posting how much you hate bible stories on other people's videos. It ruins everyone else's faith and beliefs. :(

@masala505 lol. Pretty much everyone agrees that the gospel of Mark was written in the 60s. Thats like 30 years after Jesus

@cammiharwood If your testimony is so strong of Jesus then why do you have any thought in your mind that you could be wrong about his existance? :)

Damn, I missed the part where Mary and Joseph had premarital sex...it must be a little before this scene. Haha, you people are pathetic.

what is so pathetic is that you get so wound up to look for this video and write a little kiddie comment on here.
