When he hits those high notes, you can't hear them clearly. Bobby Hatfield did the best version ever. Elvis tried. Tom Jones tried.

But no one has come close to Bobby Hatfield, one of the original Righteous Bros. Nice try though, sir, I salute you.

okay then...i've changed the titel cause there is'nt such a thing as 'the best'. But to my ears this version sounds to one of the best i've heard and i've heard them all. Concider that this tune is sung in a sleepingroom in one single take with mediocre equipment. But thanks for reply anyway.

Okay,but his voice cracks at points and he sings flat at points. Doesn't LIFT the notes that are at the higher end of his range. Otherwise a good effort but,in this person's opinion, even though worth listening to, is not close to best ever...
