Alan, never commented on your videos but just wanted to say this is one of my favorites. Love your 3D style, heli's and kites. Absolutely love the back yard flying and how thrilling a flight (especially one like this) can be to watch. Was always curious if that was a first rc heli flight for any of the spectators, lol. BTW...love that you're a 2 finger stick guy versus just the thumbs, although I noticed you sometimes utilize just the thumb with the finger near. Best trick/tip I've picked up!

@sikwiley first of all it mechanics, not machanics. It would an electrical failure as you say, but more likely it would be a mechanical failure to cause an indecent.

I have been flying helis since '99 and have met Alan, he is a great pilot if do shit could fly he could make it look good! All it takes though is something to let loose, but hey cross that bridge when it happens right?

You are not respecting your own safety or others, its all fun and games until some one gets hurt. It does not have to happen by your own thumbs, it can happen by equipment failure... Thats some great flying though!!

This is just unreal..... throwing the bird around like that (even if I could do 5% of what you can) I would be more concerned about mechanical failures stressing it so much. heck I stressed my 450 once lost a linkage during flips and watched the bird fall apart in the air... it would kill me if that happened to my 500 ESP. Oh if you have any old heli's you want to give away I have a nice home for them ;)

DX8 display looks a bit Chinese - but the main battery voltage feedback is useful - wonder if you can get a petrol gauge version
