  • Songs like this can tire your arms out. I like it XD... But no seriously it hurts after awhile. Good workout of some sort.

  • what is the difference between expert and expert pro? it doesn't seem like there is much of a difference

  • @TheJackpotOnRs The toms are charted as toms and the cymbals are charted as cymbals. Absolutely nothing else has changed. What were once red pads are now yellow cymbals in disco beats because it's more like actual drumming.

  • grrrrr!! i hate double handed hi hats! :/

  • Well this is still overcharted I'm pretty sure, not the whole song, just the chorus. The parts with a lot of snare; there aren't as many notes as what's charted.

  • i can full combo this if i had the squire pro guitar and the game

  • Dave Grohl, why must you make so hard songs to play on drums? =(

  • @999Overload No, That was done by Taylor Hawkins.

  • @Uxhenik idk who originally made the sheet music for the drums but i know that on this album (The

Colour and the Shape) Dave Grohl played almost every instrument on almost every song, and Taylor wasn't even in the band when this album came out. He was with Alanis Morissette.

  • @JoshAntes99 Weird. It said on Wikipedia that Dave played almost every instrument only on their debut album (I forget its name). I could be wrong though.

  • @Uxhenik @Uxhenik haha yeah just looked it up... ignore that ;) but dave did play drums on this song and he made the drum track.

Also ignore me saying Taylor Hawkins wasn't in the band on this album. lol i always thought that this was their debut album. Taylor was in the video and played drums in the video, but Dave played drums on the music track and made the drum track.

  • ...Do they have drum fills in Rock Band 3?...

  • @ManOfDeath567 YESSIR THE DO. You can choose to turn them on and off.

  • @SEVERIN36 I hate her too...

  • after this song i couldnt breathe for 12 seconds

  • Damn those fast notes :D Keep getting cramps in my hands, but at the same time i still cannot alternate my hands :(

  • Good job. I'm a go try and do this myself. You have inspired me

  • @SEVERIN36 accent the 5th note, not the very first one. then accent every 8 notes.

  • Gross! Its dora!

  • dude i cant get my cymbals to stay in the right position, i tighten the clamp as much as possible and it still slips off. any suggestions?

  • @deathnote3675

    Duct tape.

  • @0Sprotret the answer to everything thanks! :)

  • now this is much better charted than rock band 2

  • at 3:09 the drummers stick is through the tom... .lol

  • @deedeedee09 clear heads man, tilted really awkwardly forward. that's what I see.

  • @deedeedee09 lolz omfg... XD

  • eww eigth note songs are charted like guitar hero.. thats bullshit...its played like the other 2 rockband games on a real kit...

  • @powdereddonut It's only like that if you have a cymbal. If you do have a yellow cymbal, it's generally placed right above your red pad, which makes this chart exactly how you would play it on a real drum kit.

  • @SoundDefenseRB thats pretty sick, ill give it a try when i finially get this stuff, christmas...

  • @SoundDefenseRB Some people aren't that smart enough to realize what a real drum kit looks like.

  • @powdereddonut Those aren't eighth notes lol... sixteenth bro. and this song is pretty legit compared to how it's really played.

  • @bedofnailsshred yeah realized that after i posted, felt like a dumbass haha, i know its pretty accurate, i just dont like the placement of the pads, but if i really do stand corrected, i can live with it.

  • @powdereddonut those are 16th notes and they're charted correctly lol

  • @powdereddonut

.....Yeah, those are 16th notes. 8th notes are like Antibodies speed. Look it up.

  • @powdereddonut isnt most of this song in 16th notes..

  • IT'S ACTUALLY CHARTED RIGHT!!!

  • @barricade21153 Yeah, finally. GHWT charted this the same way, but for Rockband, it took them a while.

  • I thought there was supposed to be fill highways during sustained rolls like this?

  • @TerminusOmega13 it's not the same thing. It's a specifically timed 32'nd note, not really a prolonged fast-roll like the highways are for.

  • finally , they charted this right , and not hitting the goddamn it red snare for the f*cking symbals

  • oh my gosh!! finally i can hit the high hat and not the snare one these kind of songs... I can't wait to get this game.... :)

  • Does anybody know if the Pro-cymbals work with a Rock band 1 Drum kit???

  • @jedixking98 they don't

  • @MugwaraNoEdward thanks for respoding. Dang it.....

  • I love Rock Band but I hated using the Red pad for heavy Hi-hat passages and using the yellow as a snare, just never felt right

  • Are you using the ION drums or RB3?

  • @leadnsteel RB2 drums, RB3 cymbals.

  • @SoundDefenseRB RB3 symbols look like they work fine i have goodwoods and destroyer pedal i was gonna buy ion symbols but these look just fine how much are they?

  • @AeuronsProductions They cost me $40 for all three cymbals. My green overhits, though, and I can't roll properly on it. And I had to swap my blue and yellow so I could do this video at all. So they're not perfect, though they work well for the most part.

  • @SoundDefenseRB oh okay well are they worth buying?

  • @AeuronsProductions Overall I'd say so, if you're not super hardcore into FCs and stuff like that. They really add a lot of dimension to drumming, I think.

  • @SoundDefenseRB Ive gotten WAHNTHAC gold stars. but when I play in pro mode I can only do 5 stars. cymbals dont help at all on FC's and stuff.

  • @SoundDefenseRB idc about fc as long as i gold star or 5 star ive five starred all my songs except this is exile and what a horrible night idk if i should buy it now :/

  • @AeuronsProductions They make it a lot more fun, but they also make it a lot more frustrating. You miss loads of notes that you know you should have hit. On the tightest it'll get, my green cymbal still swings WAY too much and gets double hits on anything more than a light tap, which is just irritating... Part of the fun is coming out of a big long roll and hitting that crash cymbal.

You'll have fun but don't expect to be gold starring things like you used to.

  • @izisvi yeah thanks for the comment idk if i should buy em now :/

  • @SoundDefenseRB Hey, if you are still having issues with the cymbals, I found a nice little fix for them. (Voids warranty) It involves putting a coin over a spring.

  • how do you import songs from rock band and rock band 2 into rock band 3? i got both rock band 2 and rock band 3 but i dont know how to import them please help thanks

  • @TheEmokid620 Details on the RockBand.com home page.

  • @SoundDefenseRB thank you dude btw nice video :D

  • nice!

  • wait...are the cymbals still played on the red in non-pro drums?

  • @B3rz3rk3r Yes. Pro mode flips those disco beat sections so red goes on yellow and yellow goes on red. Play the song normally and it's the same as it's always been.

  • @SoundDefenseRB wait i thought on pro mode on this song hits yellow than blue its like lefty mode

  • Yes! Finally I can turn off fills and actually use a goddamn cymbal for these heavy cymbal songs. It's like a dream come true.

  • loving these vids SoundDefense.

    Subbed :D

  • Very nice job! Quick question though. Are the Rock Band 3 cymbals good quality? EG: Do they skip notes in this? It looks like it does :( hope not tho :o

  • @DoZeR235 My cymbals do drop a few notes, yes. It's fairly bothersome but what's more annoying is that quality varies from cymbal to cymbal. The dropping generally only happens with fast disco beats.

  • @SoundDefenseRB Dang. I was hoping for an improvement to the RB2 cymbals. Meh, oh well. I'm so looking forward to this song on Pro Drums (when I get my RB3 copy >.<)

  • @DoZeR235 Oh, they're improved, without a doubt. They could just do with a little more improvement, is all.

  • @SoundDefenseRB Ah. Yeah I finally got my copy but the stupid export is 10 bucks. I forgot to expect that >_>. The only challenge I'll probably have a hard time with is switching from right to left now, since the chart is realistic :D. By the way, I haven't explored the RB3 interface that much. How do you turn off the drum fills like you did in this vid?

  • @DoZeR235 Hit start in pretty much any menu and head to options, then modifiers. You can turn them on and off there.

  • @SoundDefenseRB Aha. Thanks. Still getting used to this crazy interface. It's pretty neat though imo. They cleaned it up a whole lot.

  • how do u get everlong on rb3 ?, i really want the rockband 2 songs on ma rb3 u know how ?

  • @jazkiran Check out the RockBand.com home page.

  • awesome

  • do you use the cymbal expansion pack that got released with rock band 3? or just a midi drumset?

  • @fan20001 I use the RB3 cymbal expansion.

  • You mind if you show the Yomp pro chart?

  • @CCDaDon15 If that isn't free DLC then I don't have it.

  • @SoundDefenseRB LOL it's $1 -_-

  • do hammerhead i just wana see the intro

  • It's going to take me a while to get used to these disco beats on pro-mode.
