Actualy it would be pretty stupid to say that evolution is the only true theory that explains our creation. Years ago, Newton found the theory of gravitation. Today it is outdated. This can also happen with the evolution theory. I'm not saying creationism is correct, but evolution isn't either. We can never say for sure that something is truth.

So, i know of the Christian doctrines and dogma. The monotheistic God was refute 2500 years ago by the Ionias philosophical tradition. Actualy it would be pretty stupid to say that evolution is the only true theory that explains our creation. Years ago, Newton found the theory of gravitation. Today it is outdated. This can also happen with the evolution theory. I'm not saying creationism is correct, but evolution isn't either. We can never say for sure that something is truth.

This verse sounds more like the desciption of a geocentric view on the universe, there is nothing that suggests anything else than that the sun and moon move around the earth. And 'swimming' fits perfectly into the believe in the 'ocean of heaven'.

Well the verse is a bit dodgy because its a translation. If you speak another language other than english you will understand some words especially of semitic languages are hard to translate.

So, i know of the Christian doctrines and dogma. The monotheistic God was refute 2500 years ago by the Ionias philosophical tradition. All those atributes of gods, imnocent, omnipotent, pawerful, benevolent, there is not any reason in the world to believe that, to many injustices and imperfection in the world. And in that time, the greeks used to believed in the Olimpian gods for more than 2000 years.
But if you read Anthropology and Archelogy, you know that the origin of gods it's for animism.

You told me read the scriptures, i was a Christian for almost half of my life, i read the Bible with my mother and my friends, but there are so many things that you have to think about it, i'm not saying that the bible is not perfect but there're so many inmorality that a loving god never do it.
I didn't read the Koran, but it was borned recently, the God of the Moon. The Vedas from hinduism traditon, it's something about of multi-trinity of gods and the tradition is older than monotheistic God

I too myself was a Christian and a strict christian at that. So after 9/11 I started hating Muslims. BUT thanks to my academic background b4 I have to attack anyone I have to read their material. So I read Quran and I was astonished at the scientific facts that exist in it that were revealed 1400 years ago before the mordern science could establish them as facts. So I would urge you to read the Quran and check the modern science with it.

There doesn't have to be a creator to explain our existence. We understand, more or less, how we came to be going back to the big bang when all matter was spontaneously created out of nothing. Theoretical physicists have developed several ideas that they are currently testing to demonstrate that these hypotheses are plausible. Nowhere is a creator required. The universe appears to be self-creating.

Similarly, the whole universe didn't evolve by itself. The perfect design especially of our planet Earth tilting approx. 23 degrees to the Sun making life possible on earth is a design of an intelligent creator. We call that creator God.

Also given that there are billions of observable galaxies, each containing billions of stars each of which has the potential for planetary systems there are potentially trillions upon trillions of planets in the universe. Let's say the chances of life forming and then evolving to intelligence by chance on any given planet is one in a thousand trillion. Normally this would be make the odds for all practical purposes zero. Given the number planets that likely exist...

I am not denying that life may exist on other planets buddy. The chance as you so rightly put is 0% (1 in trillion). There may be possibily millions of planets. Recently, I think 2 days ago NASA found new bodies that it could not identify either as a planet or a start. It was altogether something new. If you read any of Antrophology and Archeology books, you will find that all religion tradition appeared on earth after we left the seminomadic life of hunters to the sedentary life in the upper paleolithic.

Anthropology and Archaeology by itself is not fully developed if you are in the university you will understand what I am saying.
That said, the common message about God is same in all the major religious scriptures. And many more. I am no religious scholar just a hobby but I know it to be true.

The scriptures actually mention that the universe, Rah had started some 8 billions years ago, more close than scientific ideas, and also Rah, put the life to evolve from animal to human and it's much more close to scientific idea of evolution. thats a flawed argument, because "perfect harmony" COULD be a necessity FOR intelligence. That doesnt state that solely intelligence leads to perfect harmony, it could be that harmony leads to intelligence etc ect... same goes for your "mathematical exactitude"

And since matter, by definition, is by science proven not to be infinite in existence, how do you, oh wise wise non-theist, explain its existence without breaking the Law of Thermodynamics?
