i saw this band 3 times in a dive bar in eureka ca(in the late 90's) and each performance was just fucking amazing. i have noticed that the last post from them was from feb. of 09, hope they're still a band, i would love to see them another 3 times. saw Deerhoof some years ago also and Melt Banana is way better.

I always thought labelling Melt Banana (and Boredoms, for that matter) as noise was a bit off of the mark. When I think of noise, I think of Merzbow or Masonna. This is noisy stuff to be sure, but a helluva lot more traditionally musical
