  • God bless Taiwan!!!!! I bet the pro-Beijing people will be pissed when I say that. HAHAHAHAH what a bunch of losers!!

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 I only hope that those of Chinese descent may cast aside all the pride and greed and unite. We are both of Chinese descent it's a sad fact that we're still fighting amongst ourselves. I hope all those of Chinese descent, regardless PRC, ROC or Overseas Chinese may look back at our roots and realize how important it is for us to be at peace once more. I support neither PRC nor ROC but I only wish for peace and unity among those of Chinese descent.

  • @plovakia nah!! I don't like that. I prefer the status quo, and you are correct (including am I) that both of the people from China and Taiwan are of Chinese descent. But I prefer Taiwan as Taiwan and China as China. I would not like to see both of the two countries reunite as one, I would not have a positive view of it. I have a much stronger and positive view of Taiwan than China, because China is Communist and Taiwan is a democracy and an industrialized nation.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 whoa read again man, I'm not in favour of communism but in our ancient Chinese ways. I wish for unity among the Chinese again as true Chinese. No matter what, communism can't live forever. If people were to realise their roots they'd go back to realise what a great people we once were before other ideologies came to interfere.

  • @plovakia uhh...I did read your comments and I know that you are not in favor of Communism. But still, even though you believe in the ancient Chinese ways, I don't like the idea. And I can tell you that the people in South Korea would not like to reunify with North Korea. If this would to happen, I would be very disillusioned and I doubt anyone in Taiwan would want that to happen. I am glad that Taiwan continues its military exercise against a Chinese Communist mainland threat.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 it's not about reunification of countries, it's about people acknowledging their roots to understand and to respect. Sun Yat Sen fought the Qing government with financial support from the Overseas Chinese and was urged to set up a government to replace the Qing. Not long after, wars happened again and now the communist is in control of China. What if, the fight that Sun fought for is not yet completed? China itself still isn't free.

  • @plovakia I understand what you are saying, but to me, it is not about acknowledging roots and understanding, I do not want the reunification with China and Taiwan together. Taiwan is fine as it is, the past is the past. I doubt anyone who support the idea of reunification in Taiwan with China, and I know there are some, but it is a small minority. Sorry plovakia, I'm not going to buy it. If there is an invasion of Taiwan from China, I will stand by Taiwan against China.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 I'm not stressing on reunification of Taiwan with China :O but it's that looking at how the Japanese and Koreans treasure their culture so much, Taiwan is probably the only one left to protect whatever we have left of our culture. It's just that some Taiwanese 'renounce' their heritage and it's kinda sad coz if Taiwanese no longer wanna keep the culture, nobody's gonna do it coz China sure ain't.

  • @plovakia All I can say is that Taiwan is somebody we can support to counter the Chinese influence growing in East Asia, now what I said can anger those pro-Beijing schmucks and sell outs out there. I have a very positive view of them, they are an industrialized nations that makes good computer stuff and is also a democracy (although flawed), Japan should also aligned with Taiwan against the Chinese threat. Oh yes, the situation is getting dangerous.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 I guess I'm on Taiwan's side then, coz I support democracy, not in favour of communism and as far as I know, Taiwan has been preserving much of Ancient Chinese treasures and I'm Minnan just like most people in Taiwan :P

  • @plovakia As someone of Vietnamese descent and from South Vietnam (when it was a country), I thank Taiwan for strongly supporting South Vietnam during the Vietnam War and vice versa. A lot of people did not know Taiwan was involved in the war, but they were. They conducted their own secret operations against the Communists from North Vietnam and China. After China became Communist, Taiwan was also supportive of South Korea against North Korea during the Korean War.

  • @FiREFLYSerenity408 oh! so you live in Taiwan or somewhere else? that's some interesting stuff you shared with me there, I wanna learn more.

  • @plovakia I don't live in Taiwan, I live in the United States. However, I have been to Taiwan for a short time as a layover when I was traveling to Vietnam. I learned the information from an Encyclopedia Vietnam War Handbook. The information is also on Wikipedia.

  • All military experts including China, agree that China cannot defeat Taiwan.

The most troops China can transport to Taiwan is 80,000 and they would never make it to Taiwan.

That is the reason China has never tried to take Taiwan back.

    That's fact, look it up.

  • @squizzoo Interesting point you made there. Not that I agree or disagree with but I tried to "look it up" as you suggest for those "facts" that says "all military experts, even Chinese, say that China cannot defeat Taiwan" and "China can only transport 80,000 troops and will NEVER make it to Taiwan" and "those are the reasons why China never tried." Could you please give me the sources for those 3 points you made?

  • @squizzoo bomb the anti air position and send in paratroopers. 1st wave will always be paratroopers

  • Taiwan Govt can conducts as many exercise as the wanted. However, the true is that if China do invade the island, there's no way Taiwan can defend itself PERIOD.

  • special sound frequencies to clear birds, what is name of system?

  • Fuck off you brainwashed chinese communists

  • @ComradeMing i do not know what u trying to do. But for me hell die trying dammit even the favor is more on the other side. Rather get kill by not put up a single fight.

  • @ComradeMing So what u saying no need to defend yourself so just roll and die ? Is like I going to kill u with machine gun so u just stand there and let me shoot you by saying whats the point to fight back.

  • @ComradeMing Due u just criticism Taiwan having military early of your page and here u explain China and Taiwan ties and justified China having modernizer weapon. Man, every nation in these world want to modernizer there military the only question is for what reason and china reason keep said is self defense but many expertise said difference and i agree. The issue argument is u said why Taiwan even need for military and the reason which i give early post. So what is your argument again ?

  • @ComradeMing due then what for China need military then and modernizer the whole army, navy and air force ? The only threat Taiwan facing is China that choose one day invade Taiwan. 1 race 2 different ideology. In my view China is stupid just to invade Taiwan cause there is no value only gain is Stupid ideology come with distraction.

  • I honestly thought she wasn't going to speak English.

  • in WWII japan killed 19,000,000 chinese, and lost only 200,000 (japan figure) or 400,000(chinese figure)

american killed 1,000,000 japan soldiers,, and lost 100,000

Russian finished 1,200,000 japan soliders, and lost only 30,000

taiwan and china are the same, lost a ware to manchu, the population rate was 1:100 (chinese),

Russian finished 1,200,999 japan soliders, and lost only 30,000

  • The idealology of the non tolerant regime is getting outgrown in the chinese population by the majority in the younger generation who are pro democratic,

While the seniors in China still hold on to the CCP's ideaology. the new young generation wil not

Al Taiwan need to do is wait. Wait when China becomes a full democratic country.

There are many chinese who love there country but hate there goverment...

The CCP's regime wil be dismanteld by there own people,

    In the end democrasy wins...

  • @Stridus7 China will never become a full democratic country. That will never happen.

  • @NBAGOATS The younger generation disargee with you,so does the social experts.

China is getting more open with the world, there no longer a closed country like in the cold war there sending more students to study abroad in Europe and US, giving those people the idea of democrasy and freedom. the younger generation now are more educated and open minded, The old Mao idealology is dieing. Notice that almost all of the CCP goverment officials are older than 40.

Soon the new generation wil take over.

  • @Stridus7 lol tawain democracy is corrupted hahahaha

  • If China really want to attack Taiwan. Is just plain stupid. Invade loss of live and stupid China General and Politics love to screw people lives. China even screw there own people. Please China go and sort your internal shit problem and stop being like you so great by show off.

  • Why's everyone hating on China? They're good folks. And powerful too. Oh well, maybe that's the reason.

  • I am Taiwanese and disagree with PROC and ROC. Why cant we refer the countries as China and Taiwan... Taiwan should stop claiming mainland china is its and be satisfied with being a island nation. China, being the #2 superpower, should stop such immature acts of bullying and intimidating other major countries into not acknowledging Taiwan as an independent nation. China may be #2 superpower, but I(American) will refuse to acknowledge that as long as they continue their un-leadership acts!

  • @Michaelpai1230 American born Taiwanese(ethnicity). And one more point

China #2 = Lots of $, Power, and Brains(smart people)

HOWEVER, in my opinion, China as a whole does not have a conscience or morals and as a result, not matter how much $ or power, etc. will never be the greatest...

And yes, I visited the Shanghai expo over the summer... The Chinese cant even hold on to their litter. What a shame! I would be embarrassed to be a person with such low "classiness"

    please share your views!!

  • @Michaelpai1230

I have to agree that China is being unethical, but on the other side of the coin. US is messed up either. Look what US have done in history, they fucked Vietnam up, they fucked South and North Korea up, and at last but not least they fucked China and Taiwan up. Just look at the military exercises US always does around China's sea. She's obviously trying to piss China off. I don't really like China, but US is just being more asshole.

  • @RazerDelta You indeed are very true. I'm sorry, I am quite biased sorta went on a rant. If only we lived in a world where boundaries weren't set by race, nationality, sex, religion, etc. but does anyone here think that it's just innate human nature to put oneself/group over others?

  • And I was convinced that my countries military is slacking off. Well at least they are still practicing.

  • I understood that Taiwan was rhe Republic of China - ROC, as stated below, but Communist China as the Peoples' Republic of China - PROC.

  • Please refer Taiwan as Republic of China...and mainland China as Communist China in your news broadcast!

  • @applejuicecanada: Many people in western countries don't know what ROC would refer to and some would even confuse PRC with ROC. But if they say Taiwan and mainland China everyone knows what is meant.
