"Flash Gordon" was one of THE great sci-fi films of the early 80's. I advise everyone to see it. With Max Von Sydow as Emperor Ming and Brian Blessed as the Birdman it was a real hoot! It had some corny (but endearing) comic book elements and also some very adult things in it! One of the most overlooked and under-rated films of the last 25 years.
