@Vett6661 It's very well put together, but here are some drawbacks:
Don't expect perfect painting if you get the black finish. It may show up great, but it may also have a few slivers of wood showing through near the binding. Also, this thing is the biggest acoustic bass I've ever seen. It's not a problem when you're 6'4", but I've heard shorter people complain. The biggest thing, I think, is the pickup. If you want to plug this in, you're definitely going to need to replace its pickup.
dont you love how james changed every bit of it if ur a true tallica you should know that jason made alot of there songs and yet they treated him like shit
@RealDeadOne666 Yeah, most electric strings are wound with some kind of steel or nickel alloy. Acoustics are usually wound with phosphor bronze, which is a copper alloy with a little tin, I believe.
@superbassman96 best acoustic bass in my opinion Martin BC-15e, a lot of the more expensive Ibanez acoustic basses are good and the Fender Kingman SCE is a good acoustic which is in the affordable category
@tallicafan1112 yah, i already bought one, stock strings and everything, through a amp, it actually sounds great! even without a amp its still pretty loud too!
I was thinking of getting a bass like this. Would you recommend it? How does it play? How's the action? Do the frets buzz? I would really appreciate it if you could let me know what you think.
Tallicanfan1112 - Yeah, not too bad dude. I had to tighten the neck on mine a week or so ago. So now it sounds way better and I don't have the dead fret problem. I'll redo mine as soon as possible and respond to yours as well.
Ck Sandwich - This is a kick-ass song, and one of Metallica's best (originally from The Black Album, the bass solo recorded on Live Shit : Drink & Purge). Go find Jason Newstead's live version of this song and you'll see what I mean.
hey my fellow tallica fan any drawbacks on that bass i wanna get it but...i just dont know please respond soon
