@Tikayyan I suppose but I don't think Obote's murders were as systematic as Amin's. In other words, at least from what I've come to understand, the murders of the Obote regime were the result of a poorly controlled military. It's not like he directly ordered those murders, they were just the acts of bloodthirsty, out-of-control, soldiers. Amin, on the other hand, had concentration camps and things like that.

The British would've used Amin as their lieutenant. There is no WAY the common folk would've had it "good" under the British. The principles of mercantilism don't allow it.

last king of scotland is most fiction. a better film which came out in the 1970 called the "RISE AND FALL OF IDI AMIN" was much better and a more accurate account. Idi Amin got power drunk, but I support his removal of most Asians, who many have admitted to me where very racist and brutal to the indigenous Ugandans. Having said that he went too far in killing and ruing the economy. Also he illustrated that people who may appear not so smart are actually quite smart if under estimated.
