  • thank you pdot my favorite snowmobiling group for proving you dont need a mountain sled to ride the mountains. ill gladly take my 440 anywhere

  • @Dinoboyification IN SPRING ONLY. It was damn near spring conditions in this vid...440 is underpowered, period!

  • where is this?

  • how did the 121 tracks do in the mountains?

  • @sledingfourlife well when we were there the snow sucked so we managed, but the one day it snowed like 10 inches up high we had some trouble. They are too short for anything but wet spring snow

  • 144" track with 2" paddles = perfect jump sled. but ride a 156", kind of a hill climb, jump hybrid trackk. but where i live we dont have trails to ride on, its all back country. :)

  • how well do 440's work/run in the mountains?

  • lol when the slo mo is on, it seriously sounds like a 4 stroke dirt bike.

  • this is in canada right? i used to go mountainbiking at the fernie alpine resort i think its called

  • 159 all the way to the top.... 144 all the way at the bottom

  • hey wats up guys ware u guys sled at cuz i got no place to ride

  • What kind of windshield is on Dave's sled?

  • You guys can't handle powder only that hard packed shit well you guys probably can but those ski donts can't

  • 3 inch minimum u guys dont even have 2 it looks like

  • pdot i think chris burandt would be pround of your backcountry skills haha

  • @thierracing doubtful! lol

  • nice

  • Where are you guys from?

  • @zachchaffee Manitoba

  • fuck that looks awesome. whats the name of the song?

  • @basechamp Song is "breadfan" by metallica

  • fuck that looks awesome. whats the name of the song?

  • hahaha nice slednecks quotes

  • the "long track", it is a 600?

  • That MXZ, it's a 440, right?

  • how big of a lug do u need to drive a 440 in the deep?

  • @notingXworks 3" minimum

  • @PDotSledding

lmao 3" minimum are you kidding me?

  • @PDotSledding

lmao 3" minimum are you kidding me?

maybe an inch 1/2 minimum? that black sled doesn't even look like it has a 2 inch on it.

  • @piche9921 nah the one 600 in the vid (dave's) had a 121 x1.6" everybody else had 2"

  • Please tell me those are 440 revs in the mountains

  • @SkiDooFan9 they are

  • @SkiDooFan9 hahahahaha, 440 revs kick ass!!!

  • good video. is that metallica? what song?

  • sleds sound nasty. what kind of cans do you have?

  • great vid

  • And Love the Backflip @ the end:)

  • Love the "Metallica" background!!!

  • Good ol' fernie eh

  • come on let me bring out my ski-doo 1200 turbo i got for 20g!!!!!

  • trop malade

  • Sick vid!!...Winter is near!

  • @JoeythePope now...

    WINTER IS HERE

  • Not for me... no snow here at all... and I just bought a 2002 XCSP 700, so I cant wait for it to snow!!!

  • @JoeythePope WOW what are the odds i got a 2002 classic. i love it if its got on/prem us premium gas its night and day. and in 2 feet of snow it powers through. boondocking or trailriding they are great

  • Yea it has the on/prem on the switch. And I got a 1.75 inch track and super wide powder ski's so it should be good in the pow. Can't wait for the white stuff!!!

  • @JoeythePope what region do you live in

  • Newfoundland

  • @JoeythePope what is the tunnel clearance for one of those. im surprised you dont have snow

  • Sorry, I put 2002 there my XC SP is a 2003. I'm not sure of the clearance but the 1 7/8 inch studs clear the tunnel fine. We have some weird weather this year the rest of Canada has plenty of snow but we have none.

  • @JoeythePope icic that sucks that you dont have snow. i hate it where i live. we got a foot and a half and it melted a way a few days later

  • @uglytiger23 well that sucks

  • pdotsledding= some of the best sledding videos ever

  • haha the camera man was wavin in that guys helmet lol good riding. nice sleds

  • why kind of can do you guys have for your sled?

  • "The Thing", baddest assed can ever made. There's also an mbrp on the black "long track " (136") rev

  • @PDotSledding whats the thing? u custom make it? haha

  • i dont know whats cooler!! the mountains or the sleds with you guys on them!!!

  • you guys struggle in the hills first off get some long tracks behind you!

  • Long tracks are for sissies

  • yeah for "sissies" that let um hang and go big in the backcountry just ask chris burandt!

  • @PDotSledding I have 4 short tracks and 3 long tracks and the longs are way smother and seem to be more stable at speeds of 80 and up.

  • says the guys that cant ride for shit!

  • @PDotSledding takes more muscle to handle a long track and were im from u dont have a long track u cant get off the trail and trail riding is for sissies

  • @PDotSledding no long tracks are for people who have balls for the backcountry

  • @tysleddin101 yeah that's what I meant!

  • @SKIDOOriderSLEDNX800 long tracks suck 2 borin

  • hahahahaha.... BEEP BEEP

  • ooohhhh boy winterza gettin closer

  • what kind of can is on the sled at 4:25 ??

  • it sounds like either a jaws can or a mbrp or snostuff rumblepack, i have the mbrp and i recomend it to anyone

  • lol 1:49/1:50 sounds like an angry cat when he revs it xD

  • how are them short tracks workin out pussies???

  • way to use metallica in this video!!!

  • i love how warm it always is in the mountains

  • haha yeah im got a skidoo elan 250 ss :) 1973 but new engine on it ;) 72 horses on it normal is it 19 :p

  • Haha i got 1974 ski-doo elan 250 (t)I can get pretty mad air off drifts and ditches about 3-7 feet someday i hope to get a better sled But anyways nice video Keep up the good work ; )

  • you realize all that stuff that broke was cuz u got ski-doos right? ;)

jk but seriously, in all my group's riding we got cats, yammis, and polarises and the worst we had was a blown bearing in the old 1990 phazer, and a few blown belts n spark plugs

  • those are some boom gnarly stunts

  • 3:30 you tree fucker.

  • What are the best shocks that I can put on a Ski-doo 600 rev that at the same time doesn't overly lighten the wallet. I do a lot of rough trail and back country riding.

  • The shocks from a race sled are the beefiest. You can get all 4, used, for $1000 if you look hard.

  • Thanks man. 1000$ isn't bad compare to where I would regularly go. I go to a dealership called Carsons but those guys want nearly double. Probably cause they are a dealer eh?

  • go to ohlins(dot)com, the best you can find.

  • ask snowest

  • hey i also am thinking about getting a 440. i love to jump as ditch bang aswell as boondock when i can around here. im from minnesota. every once in awhile we go on the trails a little bit but not much. should i go with a 440 or just a X package 800 or 600?

  • You should try and ride a 440 first to get an idea of how stiff they are, then decide

  • How long of a track is on the sled at 1:55 ?

  • 136"

  • Is it stock with the 136" or did he put rail extensions on it?

  • Extensions

  • Did he lose a lot of top end when he put a rail extension on?

Can't wait to see the next video to!

  • shold i buy a rev 440 or a rev 600 ? its so hard to now ! i am going for a powder and a deep snow machine !

  • Don't buy a 440 unless you're gonna jump it. The more HP the better in deep snow, get a 600

  • That is true I got my old 440 polaris classic struck in some deep powder. Faught that thins to get it out, but it just didn't have enough to get through it. Meanwhile, my friend was riding my 2004 Rev 600 and he went through it no problem.

  • Yep. Y'all should have stuck to riding in the flat farm land of Manitoba. The worst thing you could hit there is a culvert.

  • YUCK YUCK YUCK!

  • i wonder how dane ferguson and jay quinlan ride the mountains with short tracks and dont get stuck so much

  • 1.75 track

  • Ya my short track pisses me off. Digs down too much.

  • What size of sleds do you guys have? I want to make it out to BC sometime next season.

  • hi PDotSledding,

Do you think a 2003 MXZ-X 440 is a good trail machine is it made for racing and doing what you guys are doing in this video? Basically is a MXZ-X 440 a good trail machine is only made for racing and mountain?

    Thanks!

  • its a bad trail sled, if you plan to ride the trails alot, dont get one.

  • I think a Renegade or something with a longer track is a better sled for me, but i think i am going to stick with my XC for this winter maybe trade it in for a 500ss or a Renegade.

  • ...a 440 is good for racing and jumping and just generally beating on, but is NOT a good trail sled unless you do a lot of work to it.

  • Do you think a renegade is a good trail sled? Or a switchback or something with a longer track?

Do you think a renegade is to long of a track for trail riding and playing in powder?

  • what kind of can does rob have?

  • The Thing

  • man u are hard on stuff i have been powderidin in meltin snow, i was draggin on my side when i was drifting

  • and renegades?

  • You guys pwn man. (big fan)

  • is there a can on that sled?

  • Which sled?

  • the newest 1 that sounds way cool

  • yes it has a can!

  • i know it sounds awesome i want a sno-stuff can for my 97 mxz

  • they sound reallllyyyy good but if you ride on trails where you can get a ticket for a loud exhaust... you will... if that's teh case get something a little quieter, i have a J&T for my 600ho rev and it sounds SOOO good and is slightly (not by much)quieter then a sno-stuff

  • most of those ski doos have cans

  • i went to the edmonton alberta snowmobial show and seen fernie people there just woundering should i spend the 5 hour drive there or is it not worth it

  • you guys are awesome. hilarious

  • are you guys a pro team and were are you guys riding at

  • LMAO no we're not "pro". Not by a long stretch. That was all riding around Fernie BC.

  • fuck i love sledding!

    cant wait till next year!!!!!!!!

  • who cant? me either

  • yeah tell me about it i'll only be able to head out 2-3 times cause of fucking college

  • That sucks

  • its a good video watching non pros do that stuff where was this video shot?

  • what kind of canister or pipe does rob have?

  • its sounds like a sno stuff

  • Its a Thing Can. from the sled shed in revy

  • can you get the mounting kit for the skis on the website or where

  • Good vid

  • how do i know C&A pro skis will fit my sled it is 2002 mxzx440

  • They'll fit, you can get mounting kits for any sled.

  • I realllly need to ride with u boys! lol if only i had the equipment!

  • nice movi! =D

  • at 3 mins it sounded like slednecks 9 lol

  • how do i know the skis will fit my sled its a 2002 mxzx 440

  • what kind are they too

  • They're C&A Pro's, you can get them from lots of places just do a Google search.

    and who was there..? names??

  • I believe Lee, Cory, and Alex. (?)

  • were u guys at snow-cross in selkirk the other day?

  • Some of us, yep!

  • whats the name of the song??

  • "Breadfan" by Metallica.

  • nevermind seems i cant....lol well check it out "Live Ammo"

  • Hey, you guys make some sweet vids!!! im postin my vid as a response...to get ppl to watch it haha...

  • just a tip tap the brake before you whip it increases your whip

  • AND IM NOT TRYIN to make all flatlanders look bad some of them like these guys kick ass at sledding just every flatlander i have rode with always bring 500$ so they can get there sless lifeted from a wreck or avelanch i like people from ALBERTA SASK Manitoba all those provinces just not when they kill my friends

  • I'm sorry to hear about your buddies but we don't fall into the "dumb flatlander" category. We were very educated prior to the trip re: avy's/search and rescue. Everybody had beacons/probes/shovels and we did practice beacon burials prior to the trip. We had followed the weather conditions in your area all year, and we rode with a guide the first day to show us some safe areas. So not all flatlanders are uneducated & dumb.

  • yes im not saying your DUMB just some flatlanders are.... you guys look very dedicated to sledin and you guys kick asss at sledding thanks for the great video

  • sorry that was my sons account yes im not saying your DUMB just some flatlanders are.... you guys look very dedicated to sledin and you guys kick asss at sledding thanks for the great video

  • "You Guys are the dumbasses that cause all the avalanches because you dont have any mountains from where your from..."

    - was that NOT directed at us?

  • Well it sorta was but to all the flatlanders that dont have any mountains where they live and come to the mountains and kill people but i take that back sorry for what i said about you

  • its just pisses me off when like albertans ect come into the mountains without proper training or expirience and then cause alot of avalanches and kill people like my friends.. and other people but you guys are smart for have a guide on the first day.......and im sorry for asuming you guys were like most of the other flatlanders but i can see clearly now you guys are very dedicated to sledding and you are very friking good at sledding

  • No worries. I definitely agree that those new to mountain riding need the proper training! It's a whole different ball game.

  • It looks like you had a blast wheres is this the pipeline? and are you gonna come back to Fernie if you are id love to go riding with you guys....

  • It was mostly just off the pipeline yep. I don't think we'll be back anytime soon, the terrain isn't quite what we'd hoped it would be and there was definitely an abundance of trees which really screwed up the lines of a lot of prospective jumps/drops. Nice area though!

  • hey BCsledder u need to take a chill pill buddy like sriously i who cares if they cause avalanches at leasty it is just gunna be them who get stuck in it and also avalanches can happen avrywhere sio just chill out

  • no buddy i dont need to becuase flatlanders killed to of my friends in avelanches

  • Facking nice vid!

  • your an iddiot bcsledder your probly just a trail rider and dont kno how to do half this stuff u wanna ride cum c how real men ride

  • No buddy i dont need to becuase flatlanders killed to of my friends in avelanches and im far from a trail rider i LIVE IN FERNIE BC DICK
