You forgot the most important tip: when you throw a motion ball, you can sound whore the beeping noise and know which direction the enemy is, without having to look on your minimap.

The motion sensor is the only thing that makes the recon kit acceptable to use. All the "scout snipers" sitting behind the base not using them, are not helping anyone but themselves.

@jsee12953 There are ways that scouts can help by sniping and one of them is by taking out enemy snipers which is very useful for friendly ground units. ;)

@jsee12953 Just because a recon is sitting "off the grid" doesn't mean he isn't helping the squad. 2 things : 1) Select button is your friend (spotting and 'highlighting' enemies) and 2) Mortar call-ins

So far these are the most useful videos I've seen for BFBC2. So many of the so called "tips" and "guides" videos are just people goofing off, or telling you obvious stuff like "The medic class should use defibs to revive teammates"; "Use cover to avoid getting shot"; "You can score lots of points by repairing your team's vehicles." I like how you go into the details.

My only complaint is that the soft British voice can be a bit hard to make out over the ambient noise of the game.

2:43 ... Even if you *are* a recon you still might want to pick up the other sni[ers kit and throw a recon ball, then change back to your kit.

This will use their recon ball, not yours. So you still have as many as you started with.

The Recon ball is indestructible. Bullets do nothing. Anything explosive does nothing. Smoke does nothing. Defibs do nothing. Melee does nothing. The goggles do nothing. Chuck Norris does nothing. Even Destruction 2.0 won't crush the motion sensor. They are indestructible. Damn... you made it sound like Motion Sensors will end mankind or something.

A very good tip is to throw one inside a valued target and plant c4 under or inside that target and when it detects them....

Excellent guide. This is probably one of, if not the most useful guides I've ever seen on BFBC2. When I first started playing, I was totally baffled by how to use the sensors, as I didn't realize you could have only 1 at a time, and that they only last for about 20 seconds. I was trying to use them to form elaborate c4 traps, only to find they didn't work! lol

I like this video. A few nights ago, defending in Rush. I heard a sensor going off, wasn't ours. I crouched in a corner, didn't move. A few seconds later a recon guy came storming in, easy kill. One thing you didn't mention... does jumping set it off, no WASD movement, just plain old jumping?

The video didn't mention this, but it seems you can only have 1 motion sensor ball in play at anyone time. Throwing another ball before the other one runs out stops the 1st ball from transmitting.

@240Gromit No kidding, we spent about half an hour trying to work out if there was a predictable pattern of movement to that ball based on where the explosion landed in relation to it. There were no patterns that we could discern, sometimes the ball hardly moves, other times flies off in a random direction.
