DDO level 10 ranger in level 12 invasion quest

@xraytaker I did for a while earlier this year. I enjoyed it for the most part, but I eventually got tired of soloing with NPC's and having to put in what is best described as raid level organization efforts into putting together a pug for anything that wasn't one of the free play dungeons. Even my cleric would have a hell of a time putting together a pug.

i play DDO and i can tell you this... from what you feel is ranger game play, nothing really changed since. the rangers use stealth a lot, so they are good to multi class into a rogue, and they duel-wield at level 2. they don't use bows a lot, but still use them the most of all.

ranger are diverse , think of forest rangers.

Range as is distance of land they patrol. Not as in Distance weapon , allthough many perfer ranged weapons , they are diverse.

@Zuan19 I find rangers to be fun to play with, I prefer the bow because whenever I try melee I miss a lot, but that's probably because my toon's an arcane ranger.

rangers can use bows, there is a specific path for bow using rangers.

"Range" also means "The maximum extent or distance limiting operation", which shows that they are explorers, trained in combat and survival. And NOT exclusively archers. The fact that they are good as archers is just ONE trick in their Bag-O-Tricks.

In dungeons & dragons rangers are like that. The ranger class is very old in dungeons & dragons, much older than any of your "msot games". The fact that some random companies copied the name of the class in their games, while making it something different doesn't mean that TSR and WotC should start changing their rulebooks as well. The level caps is 20. The items suck. They made the gayest item I have ever heard of worth 700k and that item is Muckbane. The PVP sucks.

@Tricerium Rangers who range is pretty nice with the new arrows but a far cry from any dps monster except for 20 secs every 2 mins.

One thing they just did was fix the ranged "exploit" where you could kill a monster at extreme range and it would twist around back and forth trying to see where you are. Now they know instantly and come running with friends in tow. If you can't kill it before the rubber band snaps it blinks back to its starting position at full health. They made rangers lamer.

he cant be level ten, see whenever he hits..the 4th attack..the twirl..he stops then waits like 2 seconds before starting the attack over. why would a level 10 stop hiting for 2 seconds?

you tiwrl then if you are level 15 you do 2 more hits...maybe hes hiding those 2 hits by waiting 2 seconds for his attack to reset

I don't know what's changed in DDO since I quit playing it months ago, but level 10 was the level cap at the time this was made (and uploaded). Check the datestamps and when they added levels above 10 if you don't believe me :)

Sadly, pretty much everyone expands all their hotbars out like so. There's also a way to force the game to generate additional hotbars above 10, which some people *cough*mycleric*cough* use as well.

When you make a shortcut from a /command, you can assign which hotbar you want to put it on. If you put it on 11/12/13/etc and restart the game, the hotbar pops into existance... at least it did months ago when I played :)
