This will only work on the 8100 model of the Pearl unfortunatley but you can change the color of the trackball by taking it apart and colouring the LED with a sharpie marker

Great post bro... If anyone watching this would listen, just go to google and lookup "colorpearl" it will pop up within the first 2 results. Then, just unzip the file to a folder, use the application loader from BlackBerry, then load it to your pearl.

Only works with Pearl 8100.

Will not work with any of the other trackballs as only 8100 has multiple LEDs behind the ball.

for the ones that think this app will mess up your phone it wont the only thing to remember is that all cell carriers DO NOT SUPPORT 3rd party software. PLEASE do not pop the trackball out that will jack your phone up! Also i got the free version of the colorpearl and mine i have sent to randomly changes colors when it comes on from being idle

google "color trackball for blackberry" get the conection for the "OTR" dl. but my computer is new, dont have the file to download it and when I go to windows live to look for the app. I get sent to "malware" wich is where I got a bad virus on my last PC so its all at your own risk but of you have the data package you can saftly download to your fon for a fee af between 6- 12 $ depending where you go. good luck

you have to open the blackberry file from your desktop. then double click color pearl. then on the right it will say extract files... once you do that, it will work.
