  • Next up, take on the epic German play Faust by Goethe, Dante and Goethe don't get alluded to a lot when it comes to HPL, but the influence is going to be there. Re Faust" A scholar wants to see beyond the horizon of reality and learn some forbidden knowledge. In the HPL oeuvre, Cthulhu worshippers (physicists?) want this power despite what harm may come out of it. HPL once called science the ultimate exterminator of mankind. Plus, G. Dore illustr. Dante. HPL liked Dore.

  • Interesting piece. One mistake, though... while his father died when he was young, his mother lived until Lovecraft was 31, dying in May 1921. However, good to see such an interesting comparison. If you are still interested in the subject, I suggest you look up Thomas Moore's unfinished poem, "Alciphron", and his prose piece, "The Epicurean, which influenced "The Nameless City"...

  • Good documentary of the two greatest writer/poet of the time

  • Dante and H.P. Lovecraft? Awesome! However it was a bit monotone... school what are you gonna do?
