Interesting piece. One mistake, though... while his father died when he was young, his mother lived until Lovecraft was 31, dying in May 1921. However, good to see such an interesting comparison. If you are still interested in the subject, I suggest you look up Thomas Moore's unfinished poem, "Alciphron", and his prose piece, "The Epicurean, which influenced "The Nameless City"...
