  • I was really excited to hear the Wilhelm scream near the end when the asian dude gets dragged away.

  • Yet to see part 1. 80's version will probably never be bettered because the film makers of todays tv just deliver to the money mens expected audience profile.

It had its moments, still too much music, frantic unexplained pacing, soap style relationship bull, and hand held cam work when the scene calls for isolation.

Brian Cox had great prescence but was wasted in this.Did Bill travel to Scotland to find his Dad ? If so, the Triffids crawled a long way over a few hours. Not sure when Pt 2 was set.

  • ive had PMs basically bitching at me because it wasnt on the TV in america first, and more or less blaming me for it...sad bastards basically needed putting in their place.

  • And are you drunk or something? Is that a Guinness in your hand or a Cola?

  • lol, it was my 5th pint of vodka and dr pepper of the night, lol

  • I watched the 1981 version drunk on whiskey during Boxing Day, Boxing Day Of The Triffids!

  • In the 1981 adaptation Torrence only turns up briefly in episode 4 & finally in episode 6. Still, I liked Eddie Izzards interpretation, more like the Night of the Triffids version. God help us if THAT is made into a serial!

  • i cant see that being made into a serial or a film any time soon, as the location filming alone would cost a shitload of money.

  • and it ended up being a bit rubbish as well, great review by the way :P

  • nah, it wasnt that bad really, it just seemed a bit rushed. was way better than quatermass or A for Andromeda
