In this situation, I believe both parties were wrong. One the young man should have remained silent, got on the ground, put his hands behind his back, and that would have ended all the extra drama. For the police, the cop who was hitting the young man was wrong since he was already cuffed and unable to move. That move could be considered brutality!

Not only were they managing the person in question, others were coming up, possibly endangering the police. These are people too, doing their jobs to the best of their ability, protecting YOU. Actually, I am a former police officer. I do condemn anyone spewing racial horsecrap. However, the knee strike to the side of the leg is a very good means to subdue someone. Although it is painful for a brief time, it does allow one to be handcuffed without causing real injury. Is that not what the goal is, to make an arrest without causing actual injury. However, bottom line, this individual had every change to comply with the officers. He could have fought in court, not on the street.

In this situation, I believe both parties were wrong. One the young man should have remained silent, got on the ground, put his hands behind his back, and that would have ended all the extra drama. For the police, the cop who was hitting the young man was wrong since he was already cuffed and unable to move. That move could be considered brutality!

This was a poorly handeld situation by the officers, but is in no way police brutality. The suspect is clearly resisting arrest, and is lucky he didn't get shot. Although he should have been thrown to the ground from the beginning to avoid the kicks and punches. This video is rediculous. The police are protecting themselves and the other citizens. This yelling and screaming and NOT cooperating could have easily been a distraction. Not only were they managing the person in question, others were coming up, possibly endangering the police. These are people too, doing their jobs to the best of their ability, protecting YOU. Actually, I am a former police officer. I do condemn anyone spewing racial horsecrap. However, the knee strike to the side of the leg is a very good means to subdue someone. Although it is painful for a brief time, it does allow one to be handcuffed without causing real injury. Is that not what the goal is, to make an arrest without causing actual injury. However, bottom line, this individual had every change to comply with the officers. He could have fought in court, not on the street.

I'm not going to agree to disagree. These cops literally get away with murder. It doesn't matter what you think, or what excuses you make, or how much you look the other way. That doesn't stop reality from being real. If there really were any "good cops" they would speak out about this. The truth is, either you "go with the flow" or you get out. Cops who speak out don't stay cops for long.

Well *news flash* THE COPS ACT DIFFERENTLY IN BLACK NEIGHBORHOODS. Cops stop and frisk kids for nothing. They drive up on people's grass for no reason. There's this one GPD ofc who threw 67-year old deaf woman to the ground when her car broke down near Florida St. RIGHT AFTER THIS VIDEO WAS TAKEN, the cops grabbed a 15 year old kid by the throat who had NOTHING TO DO with what was going on because he was wearing a white T (profiling). This shit happens all the time.

I was on a ride along last summer & we went to a domestic between a young Nigerian immigrant couple who had NOTHING! Thier infant was sleeping in an open dresser drawer! 4 cops pitched in money, went to wal-mart and bought them a crib, matress & blankets for the baby, put it together & took it to them. They both cried!
There's another side nobody sees & don't make news. They do care!

There are two ways to have an argument, Flyboy. You can either argue with what a person is saying, or you can argue with what they aren't saying. I didn't say that all they ever do is beat people and harass them (though sometimes it seems like it). I said that regardless of color, all cops treat people like trash in poor communities. So a cop helps a little old lady across the street some time. Big deal. That doesn't excuse the ROLE they play AS A WHOLE in terrorizing whole communities.

They might treat the criminal element like trash & I think they should b/c they ARE! They try to protect the decent poor people from the drug dealers, gang bangers, thieves and thugs who prey upon them. We were in an inner City ghetto and the Officer I rode with said about 10% of the community preys on the other 90%. He felt sorry for them!

Well, you see what you want to see. You had nothing to say about the several examples I gave you. I could give you so many more. One about a woman I know who lived in Smith Homes who called the cops b/c she heard shooting outside her apartment. The cops came and ransacked HER house, took HER kids (aged 7 and 9) out and interrogated them. This happened at 2 in the morning. Does that kind of shit happen in YOUR neighborhood?

Why would they abuse a woman who called for help? Remember the "Meter feeding granny" who got arrested for "feeding meters" in Cincinnati? It was national news. Turns out when the Cop told her to stop feeding the meters, she told him to "get fucked" and slapped him. THATS what she got arrested for.

Most of the bad cops get weeded out eventually, by other cops.

I think anyone can see this video and just listen to helpful audience. Nobody thinks twice about the fact that this piece of shit is around my children or in my neighborhood etc. Nobody thinks...hey man, just get on the ground like that asked etc. No, they are just looking for something to stir up.
