  • Lovely Ducks!

  • Can anyone tell me what these ducks eat? And how often they lay their eggs? Are their eggs good?

  • Ducks are very inteligent, you show them for the first 3/4 nights and they know to come up and wait by their sleeping quarters for me to come and lock them away...they use ducks to train sheep dogs because of their inteligences

  • I have a question, how do you get them to go back to their pen at nights?

  • Are they a very loud breed of ducks?

  • I,d Class them as very quite ! regards Carole

  • thanks

  • hi what do you use for them to swim in

can you use as small blow up pool

    as i only have one

  • Hi there, i use the big blow up pools or the hard smaller plastic sand pits, as long as you give them clean water at least once a day they are happy and this also helps with fertility regards carole

  • Beautiful ducks!!

I have a house duck and she is also a Rouen. :)

She just turned 16 weeks today. I'm wondering how often do Rouen's lay eggs? Do they lay year round? Or is it only seasonal?

Since they are meat ducks and not egg ducks.

  • sorry so late in replying but been poorly for quite a while, rouens start laying about feb/march and will lay every other day or if you,ll lucky daily until august time, have you still got yours ?

  • Sadly, I don't have her anymore - she was killed by a cat. :(

I did get another one, though. She's the same breed and hatched on Dec. 29th. :)

No unsupervised outside time for this one.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I couldn't find that information anywhere.

  • they have a lovely life :-) shame there bred to be so big ino its a breed characteristic but they cant run well!

  • i know, several breed like this one got unnatural shapes....
