who had to shovel/rake the first 50 feet that he spread W A Y to thick. not the driver, im guessing. all in all, that's pretty pathetic job of spreading
Just chain the tailgate and ease forward and there you have it. Granted, that driver knows how to do it. But it's not rocket science. If you want to be impressive, do it in reverse.
@truckingsonofagun What Vulcan quarry you haul for? I used to run for the Manassas, VA plant in the mid atlantic region. Also, used to do FOB loads for the company I worked for. Spreading/tailgating is easy to do with or without chains set once you get used to it.
@truckingsonofagun What Vulcan you used to haul for? I used to run out of the Manassas, VA plant. Spreading/tailgating is very easy to do once you get used to it with or without chains set. I used to haul FOB loads for the company I worked fr and just about every load was to a spread load.

I would have to say he did that just perfect!! I do the same job and have spread MILES of gravel this way. A1 job driver...keep up the great work!! 5 stars
Not a bad job at all of tailgating . preloaded the gate properly , and had the speed pretty close to perfect . Sorta helped that there were no wires overhead anywhere .
yes did whats called the tailgate. use the tailgate of the truck to limit the amount of material dumped at once. saves time when stoning a road because you do not have to take a dozer and spread out the material.
I have watched many videos and subscribed to you but i have a question. Do you work for a company? If so do they send you out with a bunch of machines and its a one person job? (my boss does that)
Great job! I do the same but with an end-dump trailer.
