For those interested, if you listen carefully you hear that this is not only the engine sound from Enterprise NCC-1701-D, but with the characteristic frequency variation you hear at the 24-28 Hz range, prior to the warp core repairs and subsequent antideuterium stabilizer upgrades after Stardate 45156.1. You can hear this distinctively at 6:33:34 and 14:12:44.

Most amazing white noise ever, I did perfect on all my hearing tests growing up & I can't even tell where it loops! I think it would be a nice touch if the background was a straight empty room shot of the D warp core or the bridge either angled from the viewscreen-in or from behind the tactical post (I'd say from the captains perspective but then you miss the great wooden bend!), maybe even animated/alternating? I understand if that increases the file size to much or isn't to your taste. Kudos!

...You don't get permission. There are no limitations on length, only file sizes. Which is why most videos on youtube aren't very long, especially if they're in HD. But he's been able to compress this sound file into a limit that's suitable for youtube

What's great about this video is the same thing that sucks about most video game soundtracks. There will be a song you love from a game and you're used to hearing it on a loop for long periods of time and that's how you'd prefer to listen to it outside of the game even. But the soundtracks for games often have their tracks like 1 to 1 1/2 minutes long and I never understood why they couldn't at least loop it long enough to be around five minutes even.
