I think the captain should be someone who is dangerous in front of goal, either create goals or score them, and not just from set pieces. As a Liverpool fan, I'm happy that the captain is an attacking midfielder.

I think it was wrong for Gerrard to be demoted, he's very important to England.

Anyway, glad we both agree about Beckham :-)
