  • It's kind of sad this has become "attached' to the Incredible Hulk, because it's really a gorgeous composition.

  • Ahhhh that song always makes me cry...good job! 3

  • Magic Cyclops!

  • Beautiful

  • Hulk like this video , grrrrrrrraarhgh!

  • beautiful man!

  • well done dude, i cannot play keyboard/piano. well actually that is not true, i PLAY all the time, like a child plays with a toy. and i enjoy myself.. but i feel it is time to progress and this is the tune i want to play. anyway, i can actually read music, i play guitar 23 years, and i program midi techno, so i understand, but, understanding and reading is zero, if one cannot play and enjoy, and "please a listener" which, is what you have done for me, i was pleased with your rendition

  • This is beautiful - the music is so moving. I myself am a loner - similar to Bill Bixby's "David Banner" character - and I always felt such empathy with Banner at the end of every Hulk episode: that moment when he had to say goodbye to the friends he'd made, and leave for pastures new. If ever there were a music composition that summed up my life entirely - this is it. I would like to thank bryceguy72 for reuniting me with an old friend - The Lonely Man

  • To this day, over 30 years after the end of this series' first run, this song is on my mind whenever I leave a place I love. And you play it BEAUtIFULLY. So close to the way it was at the end of each episode it drives me to tears thinking about walking away from those places I mentioned. THANKS!!! :-)

  • can you give me the notes

  • @JPIZANO95 Dude... did you even read the video description?

  • @bryceguy72

    no sorry

  • i love this song, it makes the hulk such a sombre show to watch, not bright hollywood garbage, that haunting D right at the end is the absolute signature, you almost hang on it

  • This guy does not miss a que. I love him. Makes feel Like i'm the Hulk!!!

  • @nashkeen1 Thanks!

  • OMG ITS SO FUCJYNG SAD T0T

  • i saw this same thing on hulksongs.c o m

  • funny music :D

  • At the Last deep Tone I get every Times Goosebumps...

  • May be the best Theme song ever. Thanks for playing it.

  • this sounds so much like a song from final fantisy advent children (i think its tifas theme)

  • tokezilla holy crap your right

  • Top stuff a legend, when it comes to ending themes from a time long since lapsed

  • This Guy Looks Like Dave England From Jackass!

  • Your modified version sounds great. I look forward to future performances you post on YouTube later.

  • Thank you very much for the link to the midi, I use synthesia so that is really helpful. I tried looking for it but i always came with no luck untill google brought me to your video. You played it beautifully, and its really inspiring to play. Thanks a bunch!

  • Beautiful :)

  • JOLI !!!

  • I've listened to several of these on youtube and I really like this one the best so far. Thanks for posting it. I wish it was longer. :)

  • How ironic, that the thumbs up icon is exactly hot to hitchhike..(see what I did there?)

  • No what I mean is the music transcript itself for pianists to play it not how you play it I think it takes away the incentive to make it a sad piece but if you watch the pilot at the end "Graveyard Farewell" it looms emotionally that's what I meant you play fantastic as you can't read music neither can I that's an amazing talent you have but nobody plays that theme the way it was all them years ago

  • Not to sound like I'm criticising Everyone who plays this theme play the original Joseph Harnell transcript but nobody actually plays the theme and the way it actually was used at the end of The Incredible Hulk every week for some reason the way the the transcript for the song is set for piano players who use it it sounds like hotel lobby music where as the original theme in the pilot and the end every week did have the emotinal depth to it as well does anybody else think this

  • @sptol I can't read music so I never saw the original Harnell transcript. First time I heard this song was at the end of The Incredible Hulk TV series and that's the style I was going for. The intro 0:00 - 0:16 isn't present in the TV series but I included it here because it sets a certain contemplative tone. Saying that it sounds like "Hotel Lobby Music" is actually a compliment because people who play in hotel lobbies are usually professional pianists whereas I'm a self-taught amateur.

  • @sptol Get a fuckin life kid! Maybe go outside and talk to real people, you over opininated spunk bucket!!!!!

  • Just beautiful.

  • Bravo!

  • Wow, great job! Thanks for posting. Brings back a lot of childhood memories. It really gave me the feeling of aloneness David Banner had.

  • someone tell me the movie this is from what hulk movie?

  • Wow =]

  • When I was a child watching the original series, this song always mad me so sad and want to cry (STFU). Anyway, ty 4 posting this, is was a very nice rendition.

  • nice...now make the one when he is transforming litle in san francisco

  • Whow, that's the first plastic-cased electronic keyboard I've ever seen with more than one manual! Very cool!

  • @MaxxFordham It's actually one keyboard on top of another. The top one is an Alesis QuadraSynth + Piano. The bottom one is a Roland RD-700SX.

  • @bryceguy72

    Haha, oh! :-D

Whow, I can't put another keyboard on top of my one. It'd get in the way of the controls and display. Do you have a rack-based stand that I'm not noticing?

It'd be cool, though, wouldn't it, if there were some kind of multi-manual, non-console, electronic music keyboard?

  • @MaxxFordham Actually I'm using a poor man's keyboard stand: a couple of empty 2.5 gallon water jugs. They're supporting the back end of the top keyboard. The front end is resting directly on the bottom keyboard.

  • @bryceguy72

Oh, okay! Well, nice improvisational work there, then.

It'd be cool, though, wouldn't it, if there were some kind of multi-manual, plastic-cased, non-console, electronic music keyboard?

  • @MaxxFordham Yeah, but I think they don't make two-manual stand-alone keyboards because they'd be too heavy and too expensive.

  • @bryceguy72

Egh-hem... uh... you're welcome for the compliment.

Hmm, interesting reasoning for why they might not make multi-manual stand-alone music keyboards, because-uh... there are already *heavier* and *more-expensive* units with 2 or more manuals. If people are willing to pay the higher price for console types like that, so those are made, and since you don't have to think of stand-alones as portable, then why wouldn't someone buy a black or silver plastic one with 2 or more manuals?

  • @MaxxFordham Oh sorry about that. Thank you. About the two manual: Well, those were just my thoughts. I could easily be wrong. Also, it's possible that plastic cases remind people of low-end children's keyboards. Pro-level expensive keyboards usually have a metal chassis. I don't know if people will want to spend a lot of money on a heavy, expensive two-manual keyboard made of plastic. I personally wouldn't mind, but most others probably would.

  • @MaxxFordham

    Thanks for the thanks. :)

Oh, your keyboard cases are *metal*? I didn't think I'd run across any of these that were metal. All the ones I've seen and touched, I could've sworn are plastic. Mine's plastic.

Well, anyway, metal... plastic... I don't care about that so much as this: If there already are multiple-manual keyboards that are probably very expensive that people do pay for, why then, not one of these (a stand-alone like that)? Why would that be your thought?

  • Thank you very much I really enjoyed it.

  • i love your version.

    great performance

  • Big request .Send midi a file to me on mail... Thankful in advance

  • Excelent time sound excelent very good men your sound and time is perfect

  • Sounds awesome!

  • perfect!

  • There's a slightly different piano arrangement played at the end of the Family Guy episode. I actually prefer that arrangement, but its still a beautiful melody

  • @Eztoez lol. dont you love family guy?!

  • ZZZniko213ZZZ I couldn't agree more.

  • lonelyman.

    beautiful!

    ロンリーマン 素晴らしい!

  • such talent.. bravo! i hope to someday be able to play with such skill as you have displayed. However that day is fairly far away haha. I love hearing this piece. Such a smooth and sad melody, I think that everyone appreciates the hard work you must have done to prepare it. and to the people below commenting about ear muffs, lol, they look to me more like recording headphones. Once again bravo i hope you continue to grace youtube with more of your piano skills

  • o.o you are amazing at explaining things like this. i agree with your comment very much. :D YOU ROCKK.

  • que lindo tema, las cago.

  • that was awesome i've always loved the piano the most. if i ever got the money i would take lessons

  • nice, but what was that crap in the beginning

  • As far as I can tell, there are several different versions of the piece. I hear the beginning of his rendition about half the time. In my opinion, when played right, the beginning really adds to it.

  • I love this song, it always seems like such a sad song to me, as of course a the story line of the Hulk quite often is. Well done.

  • amazing skill, but why do you have ear muffs on. i still enjoyed.

  • ear muffs ^-^ good comment x)

  • @xKittyGirlRockinYoux Those are just headphones.

  • hhahaha. i knoww. but ear muffs is a funny word :3 you did a good job, bryce (:

  • @rotinsuchi muffs?

  • @rotinsuchi Those are called head phones lol

  • @rotinsuchi It's really cold in my studio :-D

  • beautiful song

  • Absolutely fantastic! Very well played with perfect timing

  • Forgive this stupid question, but what is the other piano on top for?

  • they make keyboards like that.I've seen Pipe Organs that have 3 rows of keys on the before.i guess the same rule can apply with keyboards and pianos.

  • i think they do thatbecause it looks more....piano-ie x)

  • *Walks foreward* Turns around and holds thumb out* Walks foreward* Turns around and holds thumb out*

  • ...lol wtf...

  • Uno de los mejores fondos musicales que he escuchado, transmite totalmente la frustracion y tristeza que siente bruce al ser perseguido. Muy buena adaptacion amigo!!

  • lovely... this also reminds Sinatra sometimes

  • ya, it's from the 80s television series of the incredible hulk, it should be more famouse than it played on family guy, that show just copies stuff (we know) and make fun of it. otherwise it is really funny.

  • wow man nice song

  • it s super. I found it also beacouse i heard it in family guy :D:D

  • haha same here:P

  • There is an episode of Family Guy with this song on it where Stewie asks peter to play it.

  • Very well done! I'm going to use this video to teach myself the song. A tip to learning to read music: you know how the song goes and the notes on the piano, so play while reading the music and you should be able to put the two together.

  • Yes, this is very well done.

  • this is real talent! ;D

  • You need to learn to read music, as your playing along with your timing and feeling for this music is fantastic!

    Very well played.

  • This was excellent you play very well. I play piano as well but I cant read music very well myself but I can play by ear, but great job once again !!!!

  • i cant read sheet music either but i play the guitar and so i use tablature, much easier than regular note sheet music. =P

  • Only for those who can't read sheet music. I only really understood tabs for the first time this year. I'm a composition/film scoring major too. Sheet music is best.

  • Lol I just downloaded this for Synthesia XD

I can't read music either but I still love to play.

  • Absolutely beautiful! If this isn't a professional thing that you do, it should be. It made me feel like I was there, ya know?

  • very well done. beautiful sound.

  • this is.....BEAUTIFUL.

  • After being given a simple sheet version of this song today by my piano teacher. I have been watching loads of you tube vids for this song today and so far I like this one best.

My sheet music is not the same as this one. Is this your own arrangement? Or is it the original arrangement of The Lonely Man by Joe Harnell?

I would love the sheet music for this piece as you play it.

    Thanks

  • I cannot read sheet music, so I don't know if a sheet-music version of what I played even exists. I learned to play the song from a MIDI file that I downloaded years ago.

  • Fair play I learned music by ear as well and am only now after years learning to read music.

If you still have that MIDI file or know the place you downloaded it from I would very much appreciate a link or an email with the MIDI file attached.

By the way you really should consider being a pro pianist as your very good.

  • Does anyone know sheet music for this?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice...what is the model of your piano?

  • Thanks. It's a Roland RD-700SX.

  • very good... felicitaciones master

  • clássico, d um clássico
