The old devastator was great. And although I completely agree that Bay is pretty much making mediocre movies & devaluing the brand, I think the new "concept" of devastator is kind of cool. Instead of just simply making the robots bigger & bigger, the new devastator is a useful tool. His function is devouring earth & rock & steel. Basically he can move mountains, which fits in with the construction equip. theme. So to me it doesn't have to be one or the other. At least not in this one case.
