  • Where My Heart Will Take Me / Russell Watson

  • Newt Gingrich's favorite moment at 1:08 #moonbase

  • What name has this song? please

  • always like the shot of Alan Shepard, famous astronaut and hero of the human race.

  • I think the intro was the best intro for the series, however the actual series itself was a steaming pile of you know what.

  • Its the most bouncy and happy intro Star Trek has had :p and quite innappropriate for the serious season 3.

"7 million people have died and we are fucking going smash our way to the Xindii whatever it takes!" *starts bouncy intro*

  • This is just the most epic of the epicest things EVER! :D <3 startrek lives on forever x

  • I hope that smeday, someone will create another series. Worthy of the Star Trek name. I just hop I won't have to wait for it until I'm old.

  • Wow, it's the shittiest intro in the ST history. But what can I do, I saw them all, now I'll have to endure this or forget all about it. I'll give it a shot, despite this big cheese dump they called an intro...

  • Honestly, as inspiring as this theme is, I laugh every time I hear it. My own version goes more along the lines of "Faith of Your Mom."

  • This intro is one of the reasons i could not get my self to schedule a time to actually see if this star trek was anywhere near as good as tos, next gen, or the others.. I want to watch it all the way through but this opening just gave me the vibe of a horrible 80's tv show. The instrumental's and maybe explanation of their mission in the intro would have been more effective getting me pumped for the show instead i get to hear cheesy music which does not sound like its from the heart. :/

  • If NASA finally gets off its ass and starts the mission to visit Mars... that ship can only have one true, proper name: ENTERPRISE.

  • There’ve been rumblings that a new Trek TV series might be in the works for awhile now. For instance, at one point a new Trek animated series was being worked on. Now here’s a new addition to the list of Star Trek TV series possibilities: A live-action project, code-named “S.E.T.I.”, being developed by David Foster

  • This made me the a star trek fan when I was I kid used to think it sucked. But this one was cool because it was more modern looking and all

  • it is sad that they stopped it, it should have had 7 seasons. then i think that, the temporal cold war, should have ended with the last season some late episode ( like episode 20 of 24 ) and the ending with overweight riker and troy was lame

  • it is fact thats captain archer is the worst capt. in the startrek history this lil hillbilly

  • @Torgrim1 You suck retard, Archer is my second favorite cpt behind Picard.

  • @Torgrim1 Any arguments to support that, as far as I know he's one of the better captains in Star Trek series...sure is better than Sisko or Katherine, but comes second after Jean Luc :)

  • I was never quite sure what to make of this series. If I had to guess, I didn't like it because it clung a little too tightly to the realism of it all. I mean, the uniforms looked like something someone might actually wear, the aliens were often believable cultures, the Enterprise didn't look unbelievably stupid. It felt like a real future. Of course, most of the parts were over acted in the traditional fashion.

I guess my reasoning sounds pretty bizarre.

  • they need a better song for opening. terran empire gives me chills, this makes me want to kill myself.

  • 1.01 what is that for some spaceships?

  • only like the intro, dont really like the show

  • I hardly hear positivity from people these days, and I've gotta say that it's getting pretty old and useless now. 2012 is here now, a new year, a new beginning and a new hope. I'm gonna be as positive as I can be this year. It's been said that if your positive you attract positive actions and effects. You can complain about our species if you want, but you have to admit that we're a lot more civilized than we were 100 years ago, or less even. I believe in hope for us Humans :-)

  • fuck enterprise

    fuck this shit theme music

    TNG AND VOY FOREVER

  • @xTHExQx Why?Enterprise & star trek with Kirk is good too)

  • @DeepAquaful TOS was good but Enterprise is just terrible

  • @xTHExQx NO tos was terrible entepirse was actually good. The story did not suck, the actors were not SHIT the acting was not shit and neither the effects.

  • @au25 yeah it was so good that they stopped making it less than half way through -_-

  • @xTHExQx Considering how the idiots wanna rape and murder george lucas for changing a scene in star wars, yeah id say the problem is that fans are used to shit and like that shit, you can give me gold but its not quite the same shit they got used to.

  • @au25 Not to mention the fact that they brought TOS was back from the dead via petitions.

  • @redeyedbandit1251 what about it?

  • @au25 Pretty obvious isn't it? you think TOS is considered the worst when in fact it is still the most successful of all the shows. I imagine Gene Roddenberry rolling in his grave from this series.

  • lame intro

  • As a Star Trek TOS viewer (prior to syndication), I can tell you that Enterprise is one of the best Star Trek series. This song and intro is absolutely perfect.

  • @bryanseva132 Season 1&2 were awful. Season three was a big improvement, but still nothing to write home about. But season 4 was F*CKING EXCELLENT. In fact, it was arguably the best season star trek ever had since "all good things" aired. It was by far the best post-TNG star trek had to offer. Enterprise is a great series. Just like TNG, it had a couple seasons of tripe, but then it got really good. ENT was that good from the beginning, we would probably have an ENT movie by now.

  • @Scienceorc Oops. I meant "if ENT was that good from the beginning..." Youtube should have spell check :)

  • I'm so dying for reruns of star trek. especially enterprise cuz its hardly on

  • @taledarkside You can actually find the series online pretty easily

  • I was totally surprised when I saw Enterprise open with a song, but it could have been worse. It didnt take long to warm up to the song, it does fit the general theme of Enterprise - after finally ending war, poverty, prejudice, diesease. Humanity embraces the practive of engaging in dialog with others to reach a mutual understanding, allowing humans to take there first footsteps beyond the solar system.

  • The space station in this is also the Tauri Staion in the stargate mod for empire at war but they probably changed it since i last played

  • Those last few shots suddenly went pretty damn fast. From rocket to spaceship with warp capability. :o

  • Visually, this intro is amazing.

BUT, this song (and the original, non up-tempo version) is the sappiest, most Star Trek inappropriate choice I could imagine.

Next to maybe, the girl from ipanema.

  • @waitwhatwasthat i really really like it, the song too. it's true that the orchestral music is more epic and fits really well into the context, but the lyrics of this song are just totally perfect for star trek.

  • I was never a fan of this show, but personally, I think this intro was the best of all the Star Trek intros. It gives us hope for the furture. :)

  • @iluvanimorphs you're gay man, this sucks

  • i dont like this up tempo version of it

  • Great show, shoud have gotten more seasons on the air.

  • I used to love the intro when the series first came out (I think I was like 12 or something) and I even sang it at a talent show :P But nowadays my tastes have changed and I don't think it works. That said, I occasionally rewatch and enjoy some of the episodes.

  • I BELIEVE IN A STAR TREK FUTURE!!!!

    Thumbs up if you agree

( i know the Thumbs up thing is lame, i just like saying it)

  • @starwatcherusa mankind will destroy its achievement within 2 years. there will be no star trek future.

maybe a 1984 future if our technology isn't destroyed... and that will be fucked up !

man just look around you ! there is absolutely NO reason to be optimistic ! this world sucks ! this society sucks ! economy sucks even more than we can imagine ! ignorance and stupidity rule !

therefore the future will suck !

  • @zecle That kind of future will be about as likely as the success of this show... not very....

  • @zecle wow what a pessimist

  • @starwatcherusa not in our life time shiiiiit

  • @starwatcherusa and the truth is holding us back from the money in the development of ... Read something about Nikala tesla and not just about he... needless to say..well i just want sey...future look bad and dont look like star trek...remember at avarat and indians in america...we are not explorers but we are conquerors..others do not wish intelligent beings in the universe to have something to do with us ...

  • @SSSpider23 Yeah, if Tesla had proper funding, star trek wouldn't be science fiction.

  • the best enterprise ship is still the one from the original series

  • Given the current status of the US space program, the whole intro should of stopped at 0:54.

  • @sargon6000 Should have. Should have. Should have. Should have.

  • @sargon6000 ---

Retiring the US space shuttles for which have been in service for more than 30 constructive years means nothing. They served their purpose, and now we are moving on to better things. In their more than 30 year history no other country has surpassed their ability. The US is far from down and out. You need to do some research on all the missions that are still ongoing, and missions soon to take flight.

  • @manacaster Retiring the space shuttles without anything else to replace them is NOT something to be proud of. And those missions that you're talking about are no longer launched from US but from Russia or other countries. And by missions that take place you mean satellite launches, right? Well guess what, ESA, Russia and China have launched and still launch satellites in orbit even now.

  • @MabusParodies --

---Yes you dumb-ass they are still launched from the US. The statements and arguments put forward are a bit frivolous and dismal on your part, but that is to be expected coming a from a country who's space program is non-existent. Apparently you have not heard of the massive string of failures plaguing the Russian space program. ESA have never even landed a rover on Mars. ESA, Russia, and China's space programs combined make for one amusing joke.

  • @manacaster Yes they landed rovers. What about the rest? The space program is more than just a bunch of robots. There's also the issue of launching humans in space, cause having humans in space means you have power, and launching your own people in space from another country with a "joke" space program, is anything but that.

Oh and how is the ESA, Russia and China's space program a joke, when the US one is, in the current status a pale to what it once was.

  • @sargon6000 --

    lol, look it up.

  • @sargon6000 --

Nasa's Solar Orbiter, orbiting the sun; the Dawn spacecraft, orbiting the asteroid Vesta; the Messenger probe, orbiting Mercury; Juno, soon to orbit Jupiter; The Grail probes, soon to orbit the moon; and lets not forget the rover curiosity, taking off this month on it's journey to mars. Lastly the Voyager spacecrafts which left earth in 1977, now the farthest man made objects in space. A title never to be surpassed.

  • @manacaster Yeah, and? All the examples you gave me happened until just now. With the current status of US space program, will you say the same thing 40 years in the future, with the rise of Chinese space program and the European one? The rest of the world is catching up, while the US space program is sleeping. Yeah, that's a good way of keeping your "never surpassed title".

  • @MabusParodies ---

"Yeah, and? All the examples you gave me happened until just now. "

Allow me to correct the fallacious information that you have put forward. The curiosity rover is launching this month. NPOESS launched last month. Grail, the month before that. Juno the month before that, and the month before that the Dawn space craft goes into orbit around asteroid Vesta. Get your facts straight, ESA is a joke, and China's few launches do not equate to to anything near what we have done.

  • @manacaster If your program would still be as strong as it was 10 years ago and would of still be running like that, then yes it would of been cool. But since there are no plans for any new shuttle types, and the only way to send people in space is through another country, then things are not good. Giving examples from the past, with few projects going on and with an unclear space future while the rest of the world is accelerating their space program is not cool.

  • @sargon6000 --

"But since there are no plans for any new shuttle types." Wrong. The Space Launch System, or SLS, is a Space Shuttle-derived heavy launch vehicle being designed by NASA, following the cancellation of the Constellation Program, to replace the retired Space Shuttle. The new Space Launch System. NASA declared would take the agency's astronauts farther into space than ever before and provide the cornerstone for future human space exploration efforts by the U.S.

  • @manacaster Promises promises. I've heard a lot of them.

  • @manacaster Having a lot of robots in space is not enough. You also need to send humans in space. In order to do that succesfully, you need a space station. How many space stations did NASA launch? Skylab? The Soviets had the Salyut, Soyuz, Almaz and Mir. The ISS is an international cooperation of 5 countries so doesn't count. Oh and the Chineese have recently docked their Tiangong station.

  • @sargon6000 --

So when you find a country that has surpassed our space know-how then you can talk.

  • @manacaster And yet this country has considered that the military budget deserves a much more priority than all this unimportant space program. The US spend from 2001 to 2008 in this "war against terror", 900 BILLION dollars. By contrast, the total amount of money NASA has received from 1958-2008 (adjusted for inflation) is 790 BILLION dollars.

Now find me a country that has wasted in just seven years more money in foreign activities that in all it's space program or whatever other program.

  • @manacaster Ditto to what the previous guy said. My point is that although the US has achieved many things in it's space age, everything will be just a footnote if nothing else happens. The Russians got first in space, both manned and unmanned, but after that, they did very little and the US managed to surpass them. The US will suffer the same faith if they just bragg with their achivements, while the rest of the world surpasses them.

  • @sargon6000 --

Oh yeah, can't forget Nasa's NPOESS Preparatory Project (NPP) .

  • @manacaster Um, what? In case you didn't know ,the White House announced last year, that the NPOESS satellite partnership was to be dissolved, and 2 new syst, one civilian and military will replace it. NPOESS was called "one of the most dysfunctional space acquisition programs of the last decade". Just search "U.S. Air Force May Cut Weather Satellite, Crippling Future Military Ops". Oh they launched one satellite? China already has its Fengyun weather system, that's ahead of the US aged system.

  • @MabusParodies ---

The National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System Preparatory Project (NPP) is the FIRST of a new generation of SATELLITES that will observe many facets of our changing Earth. NPP is the FIRST satellite mission to address the challenge of acquiring a wide range of land, ocean, and atmospheric measurements for Earth system science while simultaneously preparing to address operational requirements for weather forecasting.

  • @manacaster Chineese system Fengyun already does that and has already been launched. Even the Pentagon officials have confirmed that it is more advanced than the US aged weather system.

  • @sargon6000 ---

    Haha..hahahahhaha. please

  • @MabusParodies --

Anyone who knew anything would know your statements are crap. lol.

  • This is my favorite into because it, to me, speaks the heart of what some of the episodes are about. It talks about how Archer and the rest of the crew has "Faith of the Heart" that this will work out

  • This was the Best startrek franchise ever !!! such a great down to earth realistic intro video and song...... and the series was great....so sad they stopt it. what idiots!!!

  • What a clip!

  • @MsRob44444 "No one's gonna bend and break me." Sorry to kill the party, but no rape involved :(

  • if we focus on space exploration we could eventuly develop warp travel and meet alien species like the androians and vulvuns and klingons

  • @tarbis1 Andorian, Vulcans, gtfo troll.

  • the mysterious man giving the Suliban Cabal their orders was J.J. Abrams, he failed in this attempt to destroy star trek, but succeeded in the movie.

    RIP stark trek

  • This video has more hits than the petition had signatures to keep the series from being cancelled. Amazing.

  • One of the possible futures...

  • Man, I loved this intro! It was just something different to what you were used to always hearing since TNG. And given this is many years before that time. Rock would still be pretty big on earth I'd imagine^^

So, I guess it just "fits".

  • *virtual cake* chinchilla M*A*S*H bunny leopard flu season ^_^ ^^ the sword of asterath Least viewed video on youtube first video racist nazi churchill black ops ): (: 0__0 0_0 0___0 YouTube

    Search That on youtube

  • @MsRob44444 LOL

  • Actually it says "no ones gonna bend or break me", and it's a great lyric I have to say!

Intro is great, but the Enterprise show is rather mediocre compared to Next Generation or Voyager!

  • @muradeen Pff I have seen Voyager quite recently and I'm watching Enterprise now, and after seeing bits and pieces when I was younger, I can say Enterprise is way better than Voyager, scriptwise and actingwise. Fuck those idiots for canceling it, beautiful series.

  • A fine show the networks hated....Just like 1968

  • Best intro ever

  • I didn't watch this enterprise. I don't know why, but I think TNG and Voyager were the best Star trek series ever

  • I love this intro.... I remember the only show I watched after the "Barney and elmo" phase was Star Trek Enterprise, and then there was Star Trek TNG, which I think were re -runs mostly.... I miss being able to find Star Trek Enterprise and the Star Trek with Spock.....

  • Happy 10th anniversary Star Trek Enterprise!

  • 1.02 ? what ship is this?

  • @felixandreason I believe it`s the first space ship which could fly warp.... U can see it in one of the Star Trek films with the borg^^ sry but I am more used to Star Wars :P

  • @felixandreason the pheonix

  • @felixandreason

    At 1:05ish?

The Pheonix, it's a key part of one of the Star Trek films.

  • Damn i'm glad this lame-o intro wasnt in the series. Atleast not in the episodes here in youtube.

  • STAR-TREK ENTERPRISE AND VOYAGER ARE THE TWO MOST AWESOMEIST SCI-FI PROGRAMS AFTER DOCTOR-WHO!!! BUT HEY I STILL LOVE IT!

  • I LOVE ENTERPRISE AND VOYAGER

  • much better than first generation

  • I hate thisd folk music version of the theme. no wonder the show only lasted 4 seasons.

  • @SpockBorg5 Judging an entire show based on the intro is stupid. Personally I blame the hardcore fanboyism for ruining the series, and the franchise as a whole.

  • @F14ace you missed point which was producers make stupid like changing theme, then chances they will f up something else more important. As for blaming us dedicated trekkies your opinion way off. For 1 thing it hardcore fans kept franchise alive all years, not get enough support from casual fairweather viewers such as yourself, so if not for us then settlers such as yourself not have any trek. Should blame producers' constant reimagining in order to placate p'taks such as you for franchise flaws

  • /watch?v=GP1l9X5IMEE

  • I like how they show how we traveled through-out time, but the music is god-awful. What on earth were they thinking when they put it over the awesome video?

  • The intro they had during the 1st season was way better.

  • This is my favorite intro because it puts the science fiction in a historical perspective and contemplates our future being like that. If Boing, Northrop Grunham, General Dynamics, GE and those other companies stopped making war machines and concentrated in space exploration we would have this world in no time.

  • i absolutly agree with you :-) i'm very pleased of the progress made by the Internation Space Station, i believe that could be the start of this goal in space exploration. we need to work together, we must have hope :-)

  • @AStamer you mean Northrop Grumman lol

  • @AStamer I agree but I hate the damn music!

  • @vgeg12357 I totally disagree.

  • I remember when my dad and I watched the series premier and I was really confused by the intro since it didn't follow the mold of any of the other Star Trek intros, but I still loved it.

  • the xindi story line was the best but they could have done more with it

  • I love TNG, DS9 and VOY, but Enterprise... no :/ As hard as I try. I watched all four seasons but I hardly like any. And why is this intro so weird anyway? :D

  • @saihtamw It's a good intro, basically shows human evolution in terms of our endeavour to explore, mainly based around all our vessels with the name "Enterprise"

Though Voyager had quite a good opening

  • @ItzFuzions Well yeah, I get that. But it just seems out of place compared to all the other Star Trek series :)

  • @saihtamw

Maybe I lowered my standards by watching lots of garbage before.

I dunno, seems decent enough to me, always something going on, never was an episode that seriously bored me, mostly get pretty into them.

I've watched some sci-fi with horrible characters and endless drama where nothing ever happens.

I'm almost done with season 1 and enjoying it.

The intro I have mixed thoughts on, gets me all nostalgic, but not too sure on it.

  • @Usul573 And how do you like TNG and VOY?

  • @saihtamw

Well that's complicated, I never got into Star Trek until well after all the shows were done.

I caught random episodes of TNG on TV, most seem pretty good.

I've seen the ones considered the better ones but it mostly seems good.

Voyager I've seen some of the earlier ones in a row as well as a lot of parts and SFdebris reviews and random episodes.

It also seems pretty good often, sometimes not so much.

I'm not sure if I can fairly rank the Star Trek shows then.

    Episodes are episodes.

  • If it's any consolidation for anyone who DOES like this show. I apologize for posting so much, I may have gotten carried away. I don't retract my statements, but I will just admit that there's nothing wrong with LIKING this show. I'm just someone who doesn't like it and feels rather insulted by it for one reason or another. So I'm sorry for wasting the 2 minutes of my life trying to channel that resentment for the sake of people who hate haters.

  • What is up with all these damn trolls? If you don't like the show then fine, just don't watch it. But quit bitching and moaning at other people just for liking it.

  • This and the original series are my faves. The others are ok. DS9 is brill. TNG gets good but i didnt care for the early episodes. Voyager ive never really been into. But this and TOS are the way the series should be.

  • @drwhomasterfan enterprise is a piece of garbage! archer is a terrible captain and the crew is full of idiots! if you were a real fan you would have nothing to do with this piece of shit!

  • TERRIBLE intro.

The show needed all the help it could get and this piss-awful intro didn't help.

  • the need to make 2 more seasons of this. I've signed every petition I could find when I heard they were going to cancel it. Just cant see why it had been so hard to get support for this.

I wonder if they coulld pull it off as a web series like MK has done?

  • @MADDKNOCKER this piece of trash show killed the franchise with its garbage plotlines, horrible characters, constant canon violations and lame ass ships! this is a insult to star trek fans everywhere and you should be ashamed!

  • @gotigers9867 No, it was obnoxious fanboys like you who killed the franchise by trolling and chasing off every new fan who came along simply because you thought "your favorite show" was better. YOU are the one who should be ashamed, asshole. Go back to jerking off to your Spock porn.

  • I have just started season 2. I like it because I know one day I'll finish the show and will miss watching new episodes, so I try to live the moment.

  • @VekmanVictor

Yeah, that's the way every show should be viewed, it's going to end, so soak it up and get lost in it as much as possible and don't focus on the end of it.

Having 98 episodes Enterprise certainly ran longer than a lot of other stuff, that's also around the 88, 90, 100 episode marks that is often needed to help with making reruns profitable.

  • Man, I get an amazing feeling watching this clip. The music fits perfectly to humanity's ideals and I get shivers down my spine when thinking what we have accomplished.

We explored the vastness of the ocean with small wooden planks, we explored sky with our metal birds. We reached moon and soon we will set our foot on strange new worlds! We will do this! SCIENCE FTW!

  • @Justas923

There's a lot of hoopla about this intro having the first clip in sci-fi TV/film using footage from another planet.

  • @Justas923 too bad this show is utter assgravy and too bad assholes like you killed the franchise by supporting this bullshit! you and jj abrams both!

  • @gotigers9867 Our country started to translate this long after the show had been canceled so I was unaware about it. I don't know why you address your anger to me and I really don't care. It was producers decision to make series this way not mine. Don't be such a numskull

  • Best intro ever. I fear we are not gonna make warp in 2063. Maybe 2500 when we are all borg?

  • Considering all the problems we have on our planet, I'm not even sure if a similar future like this is even possible. I don't wanna say I'm being pessimistic, but we might destroy ourselves long before we truly learn to work together and resolve our differences for a better future for humanity. I just don't know anymore.

  • @Nico85MG

According to Star Trek we have a massive war and bunch of problems, but start figuring it out after that.

We're stubborn as hell and survivors, I'll say that much.

  • @Nico85MG this is our star trek future if we continue in this path......watch?v=GKTk8FjID_I&feature=related

  • I kind of like the other intros better, but I guess I can forgive the creators of the show if this intro is a little un-orthodox trek.

  • I suppose I'm the only one that chokes up watching the entirety of human exploration pass before my eyes.

  • Worst Star Trek Intro Music Ever.

  • This intro is one of the worst, and I could see how that could turn people off, but watching the show I really think it's just as quality as just about everything else but TNG/a handful of the movies.

It gets my seal of approval.

  • gay

  • @shawn3975 how is this gay, what the hell are you talking about, ur no better are you.

  • Why u upload the worse one :(

I can't seem to find the [i think it is] season 1 opening.

It was really, really awesome :(

  • Awesome intro! I'll never forget it. ^_^

  • @suineg1 oh please! this hunk of space junk intro can't hold a light to the original series and nexg generation! this show sucks and so does anyone who supports it!

  • @gotigers9867 I have two possible reasons of your post: 1. You're just a troll. 2. You are one of that nerds who fight to the death for original 1st episode of Star Trek. Anyway I still like "Next generation" and "Enterprise" no matter what people like you saying.

  • I HATE THIS ONE! Why can't I find one from Season 1!?!?!?!

  • I've never find out what ship is the one at 1:07.

    Anyone knows?

  • @Bastylax86 I think the Enterprise

  • Comment removed

    E' curiosa sta faccenda.

  • @Bastylax86 Ah ma tu dici quella prima dell'enterprise!! Ok, boh, me lo chiedo anche io quello...

  • This show seems really cheap... the intro isn't even well edited. xD

(Ok, I'm done making comments on this video. That's 4 already. O_o)

  • I thought it was cool when Anakin turned into Darth Vader.

  • I don't really get why people dis this show. I thought the actors did just fine and the story was great to show how starfleets journeys began. One of my favorite Star Treks!

  • Sad about Nasa.

  • What is amazing and wonderful is the first part is REAL! The next part is NASA projection videos. Only the last part is fantasy.

  • @OmegaSeekerr

Amazing and wonderful? - Or - Lazy and Pretentious?
