wow..might have been good if you slowed it down so i could read everything and study a bit more..guess ill just keep it all inside 500 yrds and know that 100yds 0 means 1.5 high at 200. 3 low at 300 8 low at 400. and so on for my rifle.not that i ever have to shoot more than 100 hunting..lol
@WideEyedPride not only between rifles, but in differences in height and pressure too. Any change in the environment might be a reason to do a new range card.
@PFelipe23 dude thank you so much for this video ive been trying to figure this crap out on my own and i cant lol and this really cleared it up cuz i suckk at math and formulas and i still not 100% but a lot closer lol
yes thanks for that but i'm talking about where is the equation to work out the 1.4 moa elevatoin adjustment to hit the 20" target @ 700yds in the center...i've obviously missed the point somewhere, this is new to me but i'm trying to get it..cheers
@shhmokinjoe target is 20" in diameter and you hit at the bottom. You want to hit the center or 10"(half the diameter)higher at 700 yards... 1MOA at 700 yards is approximately 7 inches... so you take the 10" and divide it by the 7" at you get 1.43MOA. 1MOA at 700 is closer to 7.329" which would give you 10"/7.329" or 1.36MOA.
it can be really hard to figure it out until you think about it this way:
at 700 yards, 1moa=7 inches, so how many moa=10 inches? approximate and take a guess...with 1.4 d you should get a good answer, because 1.4x7=9.8(by this im referring to 1.4moa x 7inches= 9.8 total inches of drop)
another example: if your target it 500 yards out, and the drop is 5 inches, that is equal to 1moa.(remember 1moa=Xinches when the target is Xhundred yards away)..... and 10 inches would be 2moa
@shhmokinjoe the bullet was 10" low at 700 yds, we know moa @700 is 7, therefor 10/7 =1.4 remember that has to be multipled by 4 if ur scope is 1/4 moa or 8 if is is 1/8, this is for click up elevation!
can some explain to me how they came to the answer in the last test please, I don't understand how they get the figues on the range card...if 100yds = 1" then why does the range card start at 200yds and the moa is 1.5..hmmm?
@shhmokinjoe Range Cards are based in patterns... like locations: Desert and Rain Forest have differents datas in temperature, pressure and wind mode.
In this case, only the gravity affects the bullet.
2'' and 1,5'' only makes you hit the head and not hit the ear.

If the intention was was to enlighten people about Minute of Angle, then the noise you posted with the video just defeated its purpose. With the mentality of an adolescent, people will never take you serious. Postings this filthy noise tells us that you have low-self-esteem, a lack of confidence and a follower and not a leader. It says you will never reach any degree of excellence and particularly at shooting or anything else having to do with firearms.
Que Pasa Felipe, Hey do you know where I can find more information about this, or do you have a power point something I can study in order to get better at long range shooting ...thanks Ricardo
Why in hell would you add that loud stupid, satanic music to what is supposed to be a thinking and learning process? What does that noise have to do with learning the math and science of long range shooting???
Is it just me or is using mils and mil reticles much easier?

@kscumminsdriver ok so how many clicks would that be in a 1/4 scope would it be 5 clicks?
bblacervesa 1 year ago
@bblacervesa
Somewhere between 5 and 6 clicks on a 1/4 scope... that's a "rough" estimate.

@shhmokinjoe 10/7=1.43 which is rounded to 1.4 if you want to be really precise then you set up a simple proportion and solve for x:
10/7=x/1.047 x = 1.49 minutes
but 1.4 is close enough for most shooters
