hmm, i know johnny rivers did a version, and i have a vinyl rip of that, i think he produced the al wilson one as well...on the liverpool five 45 i have it gives credit to an oscar brown jnr....no idea who he is.

the crackles are cool with me too, meny "trip-hop" tracks add crackles in the recording to give a spacey laid back atmosphere

i believe they were all from london but relocated to the states where they had more success...apparently they were on a couple national music shows as well, but i don't remember seeing the footage
