  • Good musik!

  • These guys should've been a LOT bigger. One question--anyone remember the name of the other video they did where they're getting ready to skydive from an airplane? The title's been eluding me for YEARS--all I know is it was a ballad.

  • @lurch321 Salt - So

  • finally i found it!!!!!!!!!

  • I was in high school between '94-'99 when grunge was in its heydey. Rock was all I listened to back then, but toward the end of the 90s it started to morph into something not nearly as fun, potent, or talented... I can't stand it now. I remember this video playing on MTV every afternoon.

  • @micheehm exactly what i remember too, it started to suck a little when i went to college in 1998, then it got steadily worse every year, and it's at an ALL TIME LOW now (can it get any lower?)

  • WHO IS THE ONE COCKMASTER WHO DISLIKED THIS? This song rocks.

  • The dreamof the 90s is alive on youtube

  • Finally ! I heard this on the radio back in theday

  • Comment removed

  • I was working at a record store when I got the promo for this single. I bought the album the day it came out and I still have it. I saw this video on MTV once and then they never played it again. But that's the way it is with MTV...crappy commercial music first, good videos come on at 3am...well...back when they actually played music...

  • Isn't this chick bald now?

  • si no fuera por estos escandinavos no habria ni Radiohead ni todas esas mariconadadas de mierrrrda

    puuuuussssiiiiiesss

  • This was the song that marked the end of the grunge era. It was its last, sweet dieing breath. RIP my beautiful friend.

  • Nunca vi este video; pero juro que confundía a este grupo con los Smashing Pumpkins. Yo juraba que Billy Corgan había tomado hartas claras de huevo para cantar esta canción.

  • Man!!!! This song just popped into my mind yesterday and remember it when it came out in 96...been searching for it since two days ago but i thought i had a lost cause but thanks to some website list I found out and happy and thanks to you that you put it on youtube!!!!

  • @faquino3 Dude, go to Amazon and order it used. One penny is what I paid for the fucking cd I shit you not. The shipping cost more than the fucking cd itself!!!!!!! I got it and ripped it to my pc before it got scratched even more, so now I got it on mp3.

  • "courtney love is/was a trainwreck" (forgot to add that part)

  • Gracias por colgar este tema... hace muchos años que lo vengo buscando.... Saludos desde el Perú!!!

  • @ultravenoso999 no eras el unico...

  • Was obsessed with this song in the 90s. Looking back on it now, it probably explains my love of English bull terriers.

  • I went to Cincinnati Ohio. Dubbed myself Squiggy Wigginz is Mental Teleprosy and never left.

  • Totally underrated band.

  • Saw them open for the Screaming Trees in Atlanta. She was amazing.Their music still holds up today.

  • They sound like a Hole clone, sorry.

  • @smigasa hole eh? salt was 10000000x the band hole was/is. courtney love was/is a and the anchor that sunk that band......

  • @smigasa A Hole clone? hahahahahaha. Sorry bro, I like talent and originality in my music. Notice that Kurt wasn't around to help write the rest of her albums, and coincidently, THEY SOUND LIKE FUCKING SHIT AND EVEN TANKED ON THAT OUTDATED BILLBOARD SHIT. No offense, but you need to quit listening to that commercial shit and expand your horizons.

  • Have I mentioned I Love this? This is a huge inspiration for Squiggy Wigginz and Mental Teleprosy.

  • I bought this album way back when it came out and still rock it every now and then.

  • probably the last great grunge song.

  • Heard this song on MTv in....94? It resonated with me in such a way ,that the "Can I aim at..." and "they fall with me.."but found it years later, with only this info. It's brilliant.

  • Heard this song on MTv in....94? It resonated with me in such a way ,that the "Can I aim at..." and "it's alll with me.."but found it years later, with only this info. It's brilliant.

  • The whole album auscultate rocks. I found it in a pawn shop in '96 and it's one album i've never let go of og can't go the year without jammin to...

  • yep, great song!

  • man...i was the only person in high school that was into this band.

i used to blast this in my car going and leaving school, i love this whole album and the last album "delay me down and make me wah-wah"

  • Great Great song

  • Man, I love this song. Just two of the things that are just fantastic about it. That guitar thing that has some kind of shoe-gaze sound doing that cool discordant progression is just dynamite! Over that the double track vocal on "They fall with me" that then holds the "eeeee" on one track while the other goes on the "in a way as I speak". Just a ton of great texture andy sound in this song! Plus grunge is just cool.

  • @fasteddie44 Yeah! The way the guit and bass match each other with that staccato rythym and then they open up and flow for the chorus. It really is a masterfull song. Deceptively simple. Take note, modern rockers!

  • Goddamn, I have their CD. I found out about them purely by accident. Serendipity, I love you!!! : )

  • I love these little treasures from the 90s. This is from 95/96!!! I love it. Brings back such memories. Criminally underrated this song is.

    thanks for the upload!!

  • I always wondered what happened to Spuds McKenzie.

  • I loved this band from day one . When they fell off the radar . That was the day music died. Tried many stores to order bluster and they wouldnt even list it in catalog. I am just now finding this on youtube and i am freaking loving life . my 10 year epic journey to hear them rock again has now found a new begining. All there songs kick butt plz post them all so i can be happy again ! and anything past SALT. I am eager to find there future projects .. even if they are from the past.

  • ahhh, back when such obscure bands like Salt, Reacharound, and Southern Culture graced the airwaves with good, non-commercial music. i think ill go on a 90s binge and look up some Self, Folk Implosion, For Squirrels, and Flamming Lips to tide me over for a bit.

  • I dig this tune, but, it sounds like a farmer's daughter in coveralls hitting a crack-pipe, yet, it beckons you to head bang.

  • Thank you internets! I thought I'd lost this song forever. I used to hear it on the radio in the 1990's but was never sure of the lyrics or the band name. It's funny, you type Salt into a search and you get anything but this.

  • It's 1996 de nouveau! YEAH!

  • Fricken GREAT band and GREAT album...great song

    Nina ramsby rocked

  • salt was one of the greatest bands to ever walk this earth!

  • no way! i was tossing old VHS tapes that are close to 15 years old. i was back then compelled to tape every damn good song to preserve the video forever (not having known youtube would come along). looking at the index of songs, i came across this one. how can i forget such a gem!?

  • why can't there be more music like this these days?

  • Comment removed

  • cos so many corporate monkies control the airwaves and TV waves....its all money money and good looks

  • What an awesome spirit Nina has. 2bad she's taken.

  • Oh,yeah,man!!! Glennn,that's so true.The Toadies!!!!

  • kick ass record !

  • THE PIXIES, SALT, Ruby, JAWBREAKER, THE TOADIES! ... these band sounds better than the crappy alternative-pop that come out today

  • i agree with you , pal !

  • u make me feel so old. i think salt was the third concert i ever went to. they supported salad if i remember correctly. good times :)

they so rocked. my friend almost got knocked out by the bass guitar during that gig. haha. good times :)

  • does anyone else think the chorus to this sounds alot like shimmer by fuel?

maybe this is where fuel got their inspiration from....

  • actually....fuels song sounded like this, salt was out with this song long before shimmer hit the radio

  • I remember having this same conversation with a friend.. but I do love fuels shimmer. Love this song as well.

  • I actaully think the two songs sound nothing alike.

  • @boogysplit

right arm! thats what i said the first time i heard that fuel song

  • fuel sucks dog dicks

  • 2009 ?

They still fall with me in a way as I speak !

  • 1996 !

  • this is way better than i remember it being in the 90s. it really holds up

  • One of the best CDs to come out of the 90s.

  • Yes....I have this album cd of theirs. I've got to get it back. God damn, I love this band and goddamn do I love her voice. First time seeing this. I cannot believe it.

  • underappreciated, superbadass band. love this record.

  • They kicked so much ass live as well.

  • this whole album is the shit!!...ahhhh the 90's.

  • Every song on this album was 'a' side material... her screaming in WITTY was incredible..... sounds like something that would be released, today, over 10 years later.... I still listen to this album!!!!

  • Ahhh... SALT.

How I wish you stuck it out and got the attention you deserved. Auscultate was a fantastic album; why oh why did people not take notice?

Easily one of the better "underground" alternative albums of the 90s.

  • great!

  • I bought this album when it came out and sold it in the mid90s when i was a teen, for some reason this is like a forgotten band

  • I have to replay this song over n over everytime I hear it, its so sexy! The chorus gives me goosebumps, as the comedian Bill Bailey once said 'these chords are like cat-nip to women!' ;-)

  • Such an underrated song. I remember the summer when this song came out on MTV. It was the smash "alternative" hit of the moment and they even used it a lot for their show promos like Beach Bash and the like. It was a big hit but no one seems to remember it anymore. Which is really sad for me because its one of the best songs ive heard in my life. And whats worst is that the group split up shortly after. The lead singer went off to do a completely diffent style of music. =(

  • what a great fuggin song

  • I've got this on a 7" single, great record really rae. Gonna put it on ebay soon now Ive got it on mp3. :-)

  • This is one of the best songs EVER! The guitar wall at :50 is just so... pleasurably mind numbing!

  • i loved this song, and i never saw the video. now that i have, she is trying to look like kurt cobain as she sings

  • Everyone was trying to look like Kurt Cobain. =) Even at my school way back in the "Alternative" era, everyone was trying to get their hair cut like him. Everyone wanted to be like him.

  • Thank you very much for posting this video. I was a big fan of thiers in the 90s and loved when they performed for 99.1 WHFS in DC back in the 90s. I wish their type of sound would become more mainstream in this country. Oh well, so much for the good old days.

  • i have the Bluster EP. It has this amazing song, Lids, on it. Miss this music so much.

  • awsome band, i still have the cd too. back in the days of REACHAROUND, The Refreshments, Southern Culture, Self, Trippin Daisies, and the Toadies......when music didnt suck, and right around the time MTV stopped playing music.

  • they fall with me in a way as i speak. can i aim it ? can i b it ?

  • dude...i was so into this band back in the day...i loved this cd alot and delay me down and make me wah-wah.....

nina ramsby is still doing music...check out baxter....and grand tone music..solo stuff too.

  • WHAT HAPPEN TO THIS BAND????i lost this cd and forever people thought i was talking about the girls that sang "seether"lol.anyhow her voice is so freaking cool.thanks for adding this!laura lynn:)

  • Just think, that little doggie is now probably dead. What a sweet little pooch.

This song and video just go to show that the 90's was the most fertile decade for rock music since the 60's. This is my favorite Swedish band.

  • love this song!!used to own the cd...one of my faves...thanks!

  • forgot about this song awesome

  • Nice post!

  • Its funny...I remember them from the early 90s (my college days) I thought they were great then and great now. The lead singer is still singing but can't get into her new stuff...

  • these guys were tops, no one i know remembers em for some reason. Like some rare animal that died out, weird it's that way with alot of great bands from the not so distant past.

  • wow, i used to love these guys. Thanks for posting this, I've been trying to find this song for years

  • Thanks for this, never seen the video, only heard the song from a mixtape released by an old nightclub in 1997

  • cool...who can upload another song "So" in this album? can't find it anywhere in the internet...

  • I have the cd. If you have email I'll send it to you.

  • 120 Minutes baby

  • That's the 90s... a great decade !!!

This song is one of those that we never forget.

  • I use to strip to this song. There is nothing like taking your clothes of to Salt. Has anyone heard the second album before they broke up?

  • Haha awesome.

  • REALLY GREAT FUCKING ALBUM. She does solo music now from what I hear

  • ke wen tema

  • I loved this album. I saw them at Coney Island High in NYC around '95 or so. Awesome live band for a 3-piece.

  • I haven't heard this in awhile!

  • this was a great tune then still love it thanks for posting
