They only sound vaguely similar because the techniques used in each song have been used in thousands of songs throughout history. They only sound like 'ripoffs' of one another if you have no working knowledge of music.

The one section everybody likes to jump on in this song, Celestial Tower and the dungeon theme from A Link To The Past is a very common musical technique used in thousands upon thousands of songs throughout history. Yes, it sounds similar, but so do tons of other songs, because it's a very common technique to use.
