So I have an SS Supercharged Monte Carlo and was thinking of doing a couple of mods to it. This is what I think I am going to do.
-Short stack intercooler with stage 3 heat exchanger
-180* stat
-3.4" pulley
-3 stainless steel down pipe
-PCM Tune
Do you think I will have any knock? What do you think I can expect for a horsepower increase and how well do you think it will run the quarter mile setup like this?
@codymiller1994 with the intercooler you should be able to run knock free on a 3.2 pulley...dont waste money on the short stack save a bit longer and get the full size intercooler trust me

@codymiller1994 yeah but if the smallest pulley you want to run is a 3.4 save your money, skip the intercooler and get headers should let you run 13.9-14.1 @ 100mph or so with a decent tune and a good launch and your tranny should hold up to it

There are intercooled camd 3.2 cars into the 12s, once you start getting that deep you're going to have to build up your trans and learn how to tune it or find someone who is good...ask around on local forums chances are there's someone near you

With my 04 GTP Comp G I still see knock with a 3.6" with headers, tstat, colder plugs, K&N custom intake and custom tune. You are seeing way too much knock. Pulley back up to stock size 3.8 and increasing timing and watch the 350z stay neck and neck or go in your rear view.
yea like 04pontiacGTP said 3 inch downpipe and a pcm dosent permit a 3.5 pulley on that gen v blower ... should probley find someone local to scan it with a tuner but im guessing around the area of about 8* of kr .. esp without some kind of headers or plog manifold
@spuy767 All 2004+ GP Supercharged have 260 HP and 280 torque Stock. With the GP mods he has listed he should not be running a 3.5pulley, if he is then he has tons of KR. I have a G37S and my GP will outrun it in the 1/4 with my current 3.6 pulley set up. Once the GP gets to 110mph the G37S starts pulling on me, which it should b/c of the DOHC 24 valve engine VVT and etc.....

@lurch1489 when I first got my stealth stock, I topped her out at 160 MPH and she was still smooth and running strong. Now it's even better, i can do 180MPH and I have already bin there/done that. With my 04 GTP Comp G I still see knock with a 3.6" with headers, tstat, colder plugs, K&N custom intake and custom tune. You are seeing way too much knock. Pulley back up to stock size 3.8 and increasing timing and watch the 350z stay neck and neck or go in your rear view.

yea like 04pontiacGTP said 3 inch downpipe and a pcm dosent permit a 3.5 pulley on that gen v blower ... should probley find someone local to scan it with a tuner but im guessing around the area of about 8* of kr .. esp without some kind of headers or plog manifold

The comp G still only made about 250HP. So it's down on power, heavier, driving the wrong wheels. What did you expect?

@spuy767 All 2004+ GP Supercharged have 260 HP and 280 torque Stock. With the GP mods he has listed he should not be running a 3.5pulley, if he is then he has tons of KR. I have a G37S and my GP will outrun it in the 1/4 with my current 3.6 pulley set up. Once the GP gets to 110mph the G37S starts pulling on me, which it should b/c of the DOHC 24 valve engine VVT and etc.....
