I've only just got round to watching this, and I honestly don't have a clue why it's been given such bad reviews.

I loved every second of it, the story was amazing, the acting fantastic, it's one of the few films I can't wait to get on DVD!

I'm currently studying media so I'm used to finding flaws in any movie, but this is the first film I've seen in quite a while that I'd watch again and again !

Honestly, I would recommend this to anyone (unless your easy to tear that is) =D

This movie was amazing. One of the greatest I've seen in recent years. I don't know what critics were expecting, I know that Luhrmann and his team gave ME exactly what I expected: thrill, romance, humor, drama, breathtaking landscapes, superb cinematography, adventure, great performances (two thumbs up for Jackman and that little boy- they stole the movie). AUSTRALIA absolutely deserved the money I gave to see it 3 times when it came out.

Nullah, He was devine and stole this film, but every time he came on screen I cried. He only had to stand there and I burst into tears and when he said "I will sing you to me" as he was leaving on the boat that was me gone for a good hour.

My husband and I have waited months to see this here in Japan. It was well worth the wait. It was even better than I had imagined and the video trailer cannot do the movie justice . I truly felt like we took a trip home in the cinema. Baz Luhrman is a master at mixing cinema, art and music beautifully and addressing sensitive issues in the past such as racial discrimination and the stolen generations. We`ll definitely be buying this on DVD.

I love australia, it reminds me alot of home. Everybody is laid back and chilled. Unlike when i went to the UK. In Australia if i tell somebody to move they say make me, then we laugh and drink. in the UK if I say move im public enemy number 1. Great surfing in australia too. Oh and the land is just so beautiful, never wanted to leave.
