No slag on Green Day, but 'tis a sad state of affairs that stateside mention of Manics gets a head cock of "Who?" and they've been at it just as long and are arguably more brilliant, especially now as a (sadly, you are missed Richey, if not onstage as a living human) trio compared to Green Day.

Mind you, if it came down to "spare one, slit the others' throats," Mike, Billie Joe and Tre would all be fucking PEZ dispensers. Fuckin' love James, Nicky and Sean!

This is what happens when it's a free random draw for tickets rather than a proper gig. You had to apply for tickets through the BBC, so of course a bunch of people went "Oh wow! Free shit!" rather than actual fans who would want to witness this homecoming for the band. Yeah, I'm fucking bitter I couldn't get tickets for this one.
