After he passed in Nov/09,i almost didn't want another dog as the pain in his loss was very hard, but after a few months, i missed having a dog, so i decided to try a shelter, and thats where i got my female GSD that i have now. She's an amazing dog too, i have videos of her on my channel.
@brapidrotation Thanks! I am sure your's is a great guard dog too; it's natural for German shepherds because they were originally bred to both herd sheep and also protect them from predators! Tank was an amazing dog, i miss him very much, yes, he had a very good defense drive. I now have a female German shepherd, she is not as imposing as Tank, but is still a good watch dog and very protective of me.
Tank is Nice woah ! to me when people judge a dog by looks they assume hes a mixed breed,i mean why cant they just injoy the dog and never mind what it is.Tank looks like a Great Workingline GSD ! but i like ot call them Alstian's idk why lol

Tank was a working type GSD from a working line, and has papers too prove it. So his ears never stood, and he had long hair,, whats the big deal?? And he would have outworked any of those showline, slanted back, standard poor excuse dogs they use for show! He was loyal, loving, and would have took an arm off anyone that posed a threat!
sweet dog man, sorry for ur loss, i lost mine 2 months ago to cancer too. most prob the dumbest dog ive ever had the pleasure of trying to take care of lol. mine a was a purebred too, but for some reason he was pitch black, if u done what u did here and tell ask him whos there hed go and open the door. not the best of guard dogs lol. but we loved him nione the less. he was 14. good ole rocky

@12345675677 this dog is diff a mix possibly a gsd with a collie or some type of sled dog look at the curl of his tail i own an imported gsd right from east germany and he looks nothing like this mix ,his tail is str8 and his bark is way deeper and a growl .either he is a pure gsd just a bad bred one ..a weak dog meaning soft ears and a long muzzle ,poor traits .

Hey Autumn, you obviously dont know anything about the German shepherd, its obvious this is a WORKING LINE pure bred German shepherd, the difference between this and the showline as you can see is the broader body, more compact stance, wider head, and darker color. Many working line GSD's look like this

A few people have asked if Tank is pure bred German shepherd, and the answer is,, YES! He is a working line German shepherd, not a showline. His ears never stood and he is longhaired, but nonetheless, he is an AKC purebred GSD! And a great dog!

sweet dog man, sorry for ur loss, i lost mine 2 months ago to cancer too. most prob the dumbest dog ive ever had the pleasure of trying to take care of lol. mine a was a purebred too, but for some reason he was pitch black, if u done what u did here and tell ask him whos there hed go and open the door. not the best of guard dogs lol. but we loved him nione the less. he was 14. good ole rocky
