I was supposed to be either stillborn or born with severe mental issues. This song came out right around the time I was born and my mom told me that I was her angel. 21 years later, I'm alive and I have no mental issues. And she still tells me I am her angel. <3 I love you, Mom.
This song was believed to have been written for Michael and Alex Smith. Killed by there mother Susan here in SC by letting her car roll down a boat ramp with 3 yr. old Michael and 14 month old Alex strapped in their car seats.

i know there are angels among us i happen to live with one. my 4 year old boy has special needs and i have spent most of my time keeping him comfortable healthy and alive. last month i had a bad reaction to some cold medicine which sent me into shock. he called 911 even went outside and waved them to our house. i remember hearing his little voice saying" i wont leave you " the same words i have wispered to him many times. he saved my life. i know angels exist when i look into his eyes..i know.

My mother past away Sept 16 2010. I never made it in time to see her, it was to late by the time that i got to the hospital she was gone. My mother is happy now and she is dancing with my father and brother and sisters. I love you mom and miss you very much, i know you will always be with me know matter what happens. I can picture in my head with you up there dancing laughing and peace.

I lost my great grandmother last february. This tuesday will be my first birthday without her. Even now it hurts to think I won't wake up the day of my birthday, and come downstairs to her smiling face. When she died my brother and I arrived too late. I never got the chance to say goodbye. The night of her funeral I was at my grandmom's to help clean things up and I slept in my great grandmom's room. I woke up to someone tugging my arm. She came back for me. You can't tell me angels don't exist.
A few monts ago we found out my grand mother had cancer it devastated me and a month later my grand father died i was a mess.. i rember laying down in my bed my hart so broke then this song came on the radio and it felt like mymy grand father was there with me telling me it was ok.. a few weeks after that my gradmothers cancer was gone think you grand pa for being there i love you and miss you i will all ways think god and so for cureing my grand mother...
My mother is dying of cancer and she might not make it till Christmas this year. I love her so much and don't want to see her go. I will take every moment and one day at a time. Spend every moment with her, and visit as much as i can with her. I lost my father and now my mom. I dedicate this song for her and myself, because i'm battling cancer myself but we are both strong women. I will get through with this but it is hard. Thank you for this video, its very uplifting

My Grandmother was everything to me, God gave a part of her back to me because my daughter looks liks her and acts like her!
I've lost my sister as well. There has been a loss of family members that past away. I miss all of them. It's so hard to take it in and trying to go on with life. Thank you for this video it is a God sent.

I recorded this song (it took about 2 hours and I don't know how many retakes) and put it in the coffin with her. it was a song I was practicing before she died. she loved it and for some unknown reason so did I. I now know why that song was so important to me. I know she's listening to that song everyday in heaven. hope to listen to it with her someday.

She visits me daily and came to me in my shower in the form of an angel. I saw her face and eyes. I worked at a fast food restaurant for 4 years, and on one paycheck, I didn't earn enough to make my truck payment. I had a little extra in the bank, but no money to eat on (lived with g-ma). I worked for tips one night so I could buy supper on my break. When I went to eat outside, I said a prayer like I always do. A heavier set man with a full gray beard saw me, walked over, and handed me a $20.00 bill. I never saw him again, but if I could, I'd thank him. That was 8 years ago.
This song is one of my favorite, yet forgotten Alabama songs. It came out the year I lost my first grandparent, in 1993, and I remember hearing it for the first time when Alabama performed it on some awards show. I too find it hard to believe that they didn't include this song on their "For The Record" CD, or when it was repackaged as "The Essential Alabama." I think this is one of the best songs of hope to ever come out of the nineties. Thanks guys!
@joshuabrooks21 It wouldn't have been on "For The Record" because it didn't chart at #1, it's highest chart position was #28. "For The Record" was all of their #1's plus two new releases, of which one eventually went to #1 also.
@KevinR38 "For The Record" was recently re-packaged as "The Essential Alabama." The least they could've done was included some of their best songs that didn't reach no. 1. Of all the songs that were released from their Cheap Seats album, I think this one should've reached no. 1. The one song that did reach no. 1 was Reckless, a song I personally don't like. I think this one should've taken it's place on "The Essential Alabama"

@michaeljackson144 the only time this song receives any airplay is during Christmas. It's sad that it isn't played any other time of the year. The song has one meaning...you never know where your guardian angel will appear or what form he or she may take...it might even be our Lord Jesus Christ Himself appearing as a guardian angel.

this reminds me of my sister she worked at a resthome in lawrenceburg kentucky. all the residence there told me at my sis's funeral she was an angel to all of us thats been over 6 years ago and i still miss her just as much as i did when she left us

@lilleyburger I'm so sorry my mamaw, well she was like my mamaw died of cancer in April this year. I'm sorry honey, we lost her and gained an Angel. we lost my Nana about a year ago, still feels like yesterday. ugh. i hate cancer so badly. it takes the good people in our lives. spend as much time as possible. even though it's hard to see them in that condition. i'm sorry.

@lilleyburger I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I lost my mom in 1996. I recorded this song (it took about 2 hours and I don't know how many retakes) and put it in the coffin with her. it was a song I was practicing before she died. she loved it and for some unknown reason so did I. I now know why that song was so important to me. I know she's listening to that song everyday in heaven. hope to listen to it with her someday.

@lilleyburger I lost my mother this April to cancer. The loss is felt forever, yet knowing that you will see her again one day is proof that God exists. She visits me daily and came to me in my shower in the form of an angel. I saw her face and eyes. There appeared a halo right in the middle of the shower raining down with the sunlight illuminating the halo. It is proof that there is life beyond death. I believe.....

@HotHawaiianNights808 we lost our youngest son to a motorcycle wreck the day after he turned 21, its been 17mths now and the pain is still very raw and i too believe there is life after death we see his image n many of pics especially his 2yr old son. and when im feeling blue all i have to do is look at his big picture we have hanging n our living room and then i smile bc he was watching over his son when he had open heart surgery and when his dad had a heart attack so yes i do BELIEVE

@lilleyburger Lost my mother to liver cancer 3 1/2 years ago...almost on the 1 year anniversary I found out my father has prostate cancer...thankfully, God is being kind and helping him tremendously, but I know it is only a matter of time. Each day is precious with a loved one...doesn't matter whether it is cancer or something else, any of them could be taken in the blink of an eye. May God keep your mother, you and your family & friends in his loving arms. My prayers are with you all.

I worked at a fast food restaurant for 4 years, and on one paycheck, I didn't earn enough to make my truck payment. I had a little extra in the bank, but no money to eat on (lived with g-ma). I worked for tips one night so I could buy supper on my break. When I went to eat outside, I said a prayer like I always do. A heavier set man with a full gray beard saw me, walked over, and handed me a $20.00 bill. I never saw him again, but if I could, I'd thank him. That was 8 years ago.

This song is one of my favorite, yet forgotten Alabama songs. It came out the year I lost my first grandparent, in 1993, and I remember hearing it for the first time when Alabama performed it on some awards show. I too find it hard to believe that they didn't include this song on their "For The Record" CD, or when it was repackaged as "The Essential Alabama." I think this is one of the best songs of hope to ever come out of the nineties. Thanks guys!

@joshuabrooks21 It wouldn't have been on "For The Record" because it didn't chart at #1, it's highest chart position was #28. "For The Record" was all of their #1's plus two new releases, of which one eventually went to #1 also.

@KevinR38 "For The Record" was recently re-packaged as "The Essential Alabama." The least they could've done was included some of their best songs that didn't reach no. 1. Of all the songs that were released from their Cheap Seats album, I think this one should've reached no. 1. The one song that did reach no. 1 was Reckless, a song I personally don't like. I think this one should've taken it's place on "The Essential Alabama"

I survived a accident in the 1980's the cars brakes failed.
It slid through a ditch and rolled five times I awoke to the car in pieces everywhere.
The ambulanc and police were there to help me.
I am here today because someone stumbled across the accident out driving for no reason just to clear their mind.
I amm thankful to all the people who rescued me and the doctors who helped to become well enough to live my life.
I am truly lucky and I know it.

this song for some reason has touched me the first time i listened to this song was just after the car accident i was in 5yrs ago 2 days before i started my first day of high school i was one of the lucky ones to come out of the accident un harmed and uninjured i may not believe in god nor could careless about the whole god and jeus crap but something was looking out for me and my family and same for those that we hit

@michaeljackson144 the only time this song receives any airplay is during Christmas. It's sad that it isn't played any other time of the year. The song has one meaning...you never know where your guardian angel will appear or what form he or she may take...it might even be our Lord Jesus Christ Himself appearing as a guardian angel.

this reminds me of my sister she worked at a resthome in lawrenceburg kentucky. all the residence there told me at my sis's funeral she was an angel to all of us thats been over 6 years ago and i still miss her just as much as i did when she left us
