OK... they put up a victory tape for him to run through... who was he racing against... his humanity? I loved the pilot show for showing him run at super-speed. I disliked the weekly show for putting all that into slow motion (great for the ladies and gay guys I guess).
@ColRangerFontana Wow that s silly. The series was great the Slow Motion to me was better than the running at Super Speed in my opinion. And why do Some guys have "Gay" automatically in their brain? Seriously guys time to cut that shit out.
@ChristianNYC Umm... meaning a straight guy may not find him attractive silly. Wasn't intended to be a homophobic comment at all, yet you took it as such. Something you want to cum out of the closet and discuss with the class?
the guy fought robot tanks, bigfoot, a woman version of himself, and a clone. and google can't help me find the episodes where he fought the tanks. early 70's shows = win. internet = FAIL.
@rikerdonegal possibly. thanks for that in any case, it gives me something to help search. it was a small drone type robotic tank with a sort of "dome" on the top. i'll find it eventually, thanks again.
@spadehatesscrewtube What about the one where he is in a life size maze, and people are chasing him, and hes a red dot and the others are black dots????
Any idea where I can find a '70's style red tracksuit with white zipper so that I can dress as the 6 Million Dollar Man? The red & white sneakers would be a bonus!
I met the Bionic Woman, Lindsay Wagner at a store i used to work at, in West Hills , California. I think she lives in Calabasas ,California, she was very nice......i got her autograph...
it would be foolish to cast anyone other than the rock aka dwayne johnson as the 21st century six million dollar man...who need to be hit over the head with a mallet in hollywood to see that the rock has action star written all over him...and he deserves a classy vehicle like a remake of the six million dollar man...
Today it would have to be the six billion dollar man. It's kind of like in Austin Powers where Dr. Evil tries to ask for one million dollars and is laughed at.
Correction: I think that Tom Cruise would become the much better role playing Steve Austin in the upcoming remake based on the classic 1970s TV series: The Six Million Dollar Man.
Say Whaaaaat!??? They are remaking Six Million Dollar Man?? My god, I am terrified right now simply because EVERY time they make a remake,....it's a total joke!!! I.e.....the new Knight Rider and,....and the Bionic Woman that NBC did acouple years back...!!! OH GOD NO!!!! If Jim Carrey ever gets the role,....oh please,....not him....NOOOOOOO!!!
God, no, not with Jim Carrey. That would be stupid. Fortunately the failure of the Bionic Woman series means we won't be seeing a movie anytime soon - certainly not the comedy that was planned. The original novels by Martin Caidin were dead serious spy stories - they would make good movies today as they were very much in the Bourne/Bauer vein, only with superpowers.
I'll alway remember my first time seeing Lee Majors running in slow motion as Col Steve Austin over 35 years ago when I was 7 and thinking that's what I want when I grow up!
I thought the singer was female. I remember the closing theme sounding like this for the ABC Suspense Movie on ABC. It was the episode where Steve puts a golfball very far.
This terrible closing theme was from the third movie pilot of the Six Million Dollar Man that came out in November 1973 before the series even started two months later.
Good job! That was the closing theme song, thanks to the late Dusty Springfield. I Wonder if there's a brand new updated version of [THE BIONIC MAN] in the months to come?
This wasn't the closing theme to the regular season shows but a theme they used for a couple of god awful feature length specials that were made during the show's heyday. This is probably one of the worst pieces of music I have ever heard.
Did'nt no it was based on a gay man,no wonder the toy had a foreskin on its arm

in every episode I felt sorry for the test pilot who crashes in the intro, those scenes are real.

Because of inflation, they could call the movie "The 6.71 Million Dollar Man". That has a nice ring to it.

DVD's of the series will not be
released until rights issues have
been resolved between Universal
who owns the film & Dimension
who acquired the underlying
book rights. There is no estimate
as to when that might happen....
