@ph12ivos Ah, B-sides are songs which are recorded for the album, but are left out of the final selection of songs, or A-sides, for the album. This could be for different reasons: The songs may not have the same tone or direction as the album tracks, the songs may sound too similar to the other songs on the actual album, or the band and production crew may feel that the track is of an inferior quality (although for a band as powerful as the Chili Peppers, the quality is unbelievably high).

There's something wrong in this world... some of these B-sides could've really improved the album; ranked it among the best of the new century... the really should've stuck with the original "Meet the Beatles" concept.

Alright, I see where you're coming from. "Wet Sand" is a strong candidate for my favorite song by RHCP (which of course, can't be chosen, too many). Still, "Mercy Mercy" has that reggae-type of bassline, while keeping the funk alive. Hump de Bump, though cool, doesn't sound nearly as innovative to me. I guess "Hump" is more of a dance, while "Mercy" is more of a strut, if that makes any sense, lol.
