  • "Haven't you ever wanted to just go to one place, and get a summary view of each Google product you use when you sign in?" Nope.

  • completely agree with top comment. this really is offending anyone who cares just a tiniest bit about their privacy.

the stupid music and animations and the patronising tone are just making me mad. why can't you just make a simple how-to video instead of this garbage?

  • Fine video clip

  • Now you are my YT Legend !

  • Many thanks. This is what I want.

  • Nice, helpful wid

  • it help me more, i ever used almost all.

  • This is all sooooooo very jive...

  • Too many steps to get to the dashboard. Show a single click that does it.

  • I'm from the fuctere and I can't find Google Dashbord

  • Why did anyone think it improved the video by adding an irritating music track? Why did the people who approved the video allow it to go on-line with the music track? If you are trying to explain to users the basics of how the Dashboard works, do you think the users will understand the words better if music is playing in the backgound?

  • You need to update this to the max. Perfect it. And apply new design of Google.

  • @ 1:20 how convenient...

  • tru

  • thank you.

  • I must admit first time I saw Google dashboard it scared the beejeezus out of me. But I've nothing to hide and it's pretty straightforward to hide it even if I did.

  • Thanks very helpful since I am new to this tech stuff. My younger sister and and niece got me into update my life. Lol.. Now for me to learn these things!

    thank you

  • I am SOOOOO VERY offended by the use of child-like cartoons or animation to try and convince us that Google is here to provide us with the safest internet experience...tra-la-la, tra-la-la. Specifically, I wanted to remove the product / service 'ALERTS' . So I chose to 'edit' and my choices were : Delete my account, or not, and delete my web history.....where is the product / service I wanted to edit? I feel raped. I feel that I am forced to keep a service(it is truly a dis-service)PROPAGANDA

  • @mrwinky696969 Idiot.

  • @mrwinky696969 dude sorry you are having trouble. I just went to edit my alerts, and had no problem removing them or adding new ones. What is the problem you are having, specifically?

  • dale is right

  • Thanks to hachakaza for bringing this to my attention. If you set your Google Dashboard to Public, don't post anything you wouldn't want your grandmother to read in the morning... My Grandma was a great moral guide for me.

  • there are laws against invasion of privacy. if you set permissions for your designated private information and a company uses that information, that is against the law. i think google is trying to make that clear.

  • the annoying thing is that av just been able to go on my account as a viewer and it still exists but youtube won't let me go on it cos of the stupid google thing. my username is sweetappletits. but apparently the username and password cannot be recognized although av been using them for 3 years. when i send a reset to my email it comes up with 2 other usernames ive never heard of before. google still has my sweetappletits username and password stored but when

  • @chocoholicSISTA263 av u tried starting up under sourgrapesmelons or u really keen on them apple tits lol

  • they've taken away the whole idea of what youtube used to be about- video sharing, community place where people could discuss things and show videos of their lives and interests for people- no gain involved. now we have vevo and google trying to take over...wtf??? and fukin advertisements?? and losing people's accounts, videos and all the work they've put into their youtube channels..just because they forgot their gmail password..? its almost as if my account had vanished off the internet.

  • obviously google doesnt save a lot of info because the minute i forgot my google password, thinking it didnt matter considering i'd had my youtube account for about 3 years, it couldnt even remember my username and password details and now my account is "missing" somewhere because it can't be "recognized". i had to set up a completely diff account and set up another gmail account- WHATS GMAIL GOT TO DO WITH YOUTUBE AGAIN?? WHATS IT WITH THESE ANNOYING AMERICAN CORPORATIONS??? JUST F**K OFF pervs

  • @chocoholicSISTA263 Yeh, I had my youTube account disappear too with the combining of youTube and Google. Pisses me off big time because for me it's a business issue, I use my channel for business. This has really messed me up! Since there's no customer service to retrieve accounts it seems we're just screwed. Grrrrr......

  • @JoyLovewell hey buddy you can merge your google & old you tube account & then using google account u can log into ur old account - it worked for me

  • @Persiskaa It could be saved if you want. You can check if it is on at google(dot)com/history . Also "mail scanning" happens only when you use web-based mail, it functions the same as any other google ad - it uses information from the page it is on to dsiaply relevant ad. And you can turn that off in mail preferences.

  • Does anyone know if the search you do in Google is saved to to your Gmail account?

  • What a bunch of slapped arses you all are. So my data is exploited by Google to provide more relevant advertising big deal. Better that than have some Government control freak tell us how to live

  • @BertieMagoo76

i am in complete agreement with you.

  • Google scans your email (if you have Gmail or Googlemail), your search requests, your location, your whole life, only to find usable information to sell advertisments. This information is all stored for a certain time and can be very harmful when leaked. I want to ask all of you. Do you think governments should regulate the data usage of Google? Or what should happen to restore the right of users' privacy?

  • To SovereignBeing,

Your opinion below about google, taking over the internet? Maybe becausess their good business people. Our own computers stores more than anything, or anyone can. Finally, the part about monitoring every thing we do or say=Your very paranoid. More people at someones own job can do monitoring much better on a daily basis.

  • Btw they actually made a whole guide for people wanting to STOP using their services. It includes migration of contacts, mail etc. You can find it at dataliberation (dot) org.

  • Seriosly guys imho you're getting delusional... They can make their billions of dollars only when majority of users trusts them - otherwise media will happily fuel a mass blocking of their ads, leaving them without any income whatsoever. So thinking that stealing information from your mails about your family, cats and whatnot is worth loosing billions is pure lunacy.

  • Google is taking over the internet and they are storing & monitoring every thing you do and say..

  • @SovereignBeing yup! i agree..

  • I want to delete my Google account and keep my YouTube account. Since this isn't possible, I'm closing both accounts.

  • @dacasket1776 please do, the internet will do much better without privacy freaks such as yourself

  • @atticusfurx "privacy freak"? get a life! and let everyone and anyone know everything about it. good luck with that. fahQ

  • i dont like google products execpt Chrome and YouTube WHY DO I NEED A GOOGLE ACCOUNT FOR SHITTUBE??????????

  • To all those dullards who doesnt know the diff between hackers and crackers please go and google it and learn it...crackers are the one who does illegal tasks.

  • PLEASE GOOGLE, I DIDNT WANT YOU TO BEGIN WITH, I DONT WANT YOU NOW, BUT I AM JUST A LITTLE OLD MAN, WHO NEEDS THE BENEFITS OF BEING CONNECTED TO THE WORLD..., AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GET YOU THE HELL OUT OF MY LIFE..AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, YOU ARE THE COMPUTER,WHICH HAS TAKEN A LIFE OF ITS OWN, I'M BEGGING YOU, GET AWAY FROM ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @looknback2340 Stop using Google products then you dick

  • Simple guideline: if you don't want your grandmother to read about you tomorrow morning, don't do the crime & don't post information about yourself on the Internet. Assume that someone can find any data that exists in storage somewhere/ anywhere, and that eventually they will.

Trust is a very rare commodity on the Web. Security happens when you NEVER reveal secrets.

You can change your mind about what is/should be private, but you cannot change public data into private data. Ever.

    No do-overs.

  • @dalemaxathome Exactly, just like people on facebook, or other social medias, tell folks where they're going, and for how long... criminals can read too. Trust is very rare, especially the net.

  • @dalemaxathome as long as you treat what you do online as publicly viewable actions (i.e. everyone can see & you don't care), privacy shouldn't be an issue

  • @dalemaxathome Bravo..well said my friend!

    ~Reenie

  • To everyone that has posted a "lol google + privacy = homosex" comment: Shut the fuck up. 3/4 of you fuckers have no idea what you're talking about, and the other 1/4 saw it on a video somewhere.

  • Google are you the antichrist???

  • @ChannelingusXIV ...That just made me giggle a little..

  • Google ≠ privacy. End of Story.

  • Yes, and Google occasionally signs you up for services you don't want, and *surprise* you can't unsubscribe.

Now I use Google's Gmail as a disposable one. I use it then delete the account after a few months, because they can't be trusted.

  • @ikan0uchuujin sum fcker keeps signing me up 2 dating websites through gmail.i keep changin my password & within 2days i'm signed up 2 a different dating site.this surely has 2b sum geeky nerd sat in googles office thinkin he's hilarious.GMAIL is gettin fuckd off b4 my girlfriend fcks me off

  • Hey Google your seeing alot more of this today aren't you:

"This channel is no longer available because the user closed their account. "

  • Google and Privacy=Oxymoron

  • Geez, Google information videos sound like they are made for a third grader.

  • Very useful to see everything in one place

  • @theyear1988 yeah it is hun, but a hackers dream xx its a bad enough da world we live in, then u have unwanted intruders invading ur privacy by shadowing ur profile, not all hackers are bad THE FBI NEED DEM FOR PERVS , BUT HACKERS WHO ROB PPL DONT DESERVE TO BREATHE , THEY SHUD ROB A BANK,,, GET A JOB LIKE A REAL MAN..... XXXX

  • THEY MAKE IT COMPLICATED SO THEY CAN STEAL YOUR DATA

  • No, I don't use a lot of google products. This is just another attempt by a company trying to corral people into their little world. I'd rather choose what I use where and when and not be forced to 'link my accounts' and all that. It's just like facebook. Very annoying.

  • Erasing your web history, and pausing this service is a wonderful thing. Ty dashboard for exposing this option to us :)

  • Requiring me to use Firefox to get Dashboard destroys my good feeling about Google. I am also unhappy that there is no support when I have a problem. The forum idea sucks. I don't want to wade through thousands of postings to find an answer to a problem. For years I have been putting up with horizontal black lines through the middle of all of the header captions in my gmail pages. Since you don't have any tech support I have had to endure this problem.

  • i have tried logging in with my youtube account name and the e-mail address wich i use for you tube (since that's the only Google product i use)

and it does not log in(incorrect user name or password) but its the same username/password as for my youtube account. What to do?Can anyone at google please tell me.?

  • @hvfilms7 You need an actual Google Account, not Youtube account. They are two different accounts, but once you log in to youtube while logged into a Google account, they merge into one. If you want to use these extra Google features, get a Google account, best a Gmail account. If you don't want to do that, then use the existing Youtube controls to manage your account.

  • if i ever use dashboard often enough i'm going to get rid of that second login page

  • Porn......

  • Loved the video!

  • @lighangel Its for extra security. if you are truly worried about your privacy, then you would appreciate the extra security to keep people from easily accessing your data. I am not worried about privacy, but this is a feature that is quite important for Dashboard to function properly.

  • bla bla bla...... google sells database, why they should release that for free?

  • All very nice... but doesn't work like it says. My YouTube account doesn't show!!!

  • 1:12 The dashboard shows data associated with your Google account, which means ONLY INFORMATION YOU SHARE WITH US AS A LOGGED-IN USER IS INCLUDED.

Says nothing about their browsing cookies that traces all your google traffic. It is the 'anonymous' trackers that is the important stuff. This dashboard is too little too late, Gmail needs to buck up and get serious. Quit using *seemingly* anonymous IP to track user data and personalize ads. This is what we should have the option to opt out of.

  • "wow, excellent, Google!"

now, you won't delete this type of comment, right, G?

  • I use Google dashboard to manage my gender and age.

  • Google.

We're gonna blackmail the @#$% out of you.

  • not

  • I dont need this crap!

  • liked the music! 5/5

  • Joe tester has a very feminine voice.

  • hi five

  • Sounds like a better way to shove more advertising down outr throats

  • @stevothebevo how so? There aren't ads on that page. Besides, what self-respecting website doesn't have ads? They need ads to pay for the products we all enjoy. If you want to hate, get off youtube. Its Google owned and ad supported.

  • no thanks I'll pass.

  • you can joint with out a invite! I DID IT A INVITED MY BRO! ( you get extra points for inviting someone.)

  • This is shit

  • I love the woman voice lol ^_^
