Great Fly as always Davie, Funny I just finished listening to a Podcast from orvis on Carp fishing and with the fall around the corner this will be a great fly to Tie and fish, Thanks again and keep up the great work,
The way I have seen these flies being fished is to watch for feeding Carp which are normally along the edge of the pond casting the fly into that area twitching the fly hoping the Carp will have a go..
@DavieMcPhail you should watch one of your own video's again with audioscript i laught my tit's of the worst audioscript on the best video's i have ever seen
davie you must have some really wierd dreams when you go to bed at nite, i thought you couldnt get LSD anymore, a real good crayfish, will give it a go, davie have you actually caught fish on this one, happy wrappings, davey, antrim.
Don't tell everyone out there my seceret on how I come up with flies as I'll have some competition..The reason I tyed the Carp fly was of a request from members here on youtube...
nice fly Davie, i tied a lot of carp flies, and fished a lot of carp. to make your flies last a pit longer i would add a bit of Soft-Tex, or epoxy to form the shell back, and it also makes the fly more realistic. and if you add some color to the epoxy, or Soft-tex it would look even better.
The Carp here in the U.K are more interested in eating boiles or dog biscuits, so tying a fly to repersent these and you would be able to catch one but you will have to go abroad to find the wild fish that feed on crayfish and alike..
beautiful.I watched the video because of your calm voice it is such relaxation

Very nice fly Davie!
Tell me, do you fly fish for carp?
I've been reading about it in 'Trout Fisherman' magazine where Matt Hayes and his chum fly fish for the carp.
Looks Exciting...
Thanks for posting,
