WOW i have my own stories. My personal discovery of Claude, was when i came back home form the Marine Corp in 1992 and enter college at Martin University, i was raised on Jazz, but did not really get into it seriously until about 1987. So natural when i got home i would ask about all the Jazz spots in Indy. The Chatter Box was the place. I loved Claude's style of playing as a pianist. I also got to know Frank, Pharez, who now resides in Chicago were Im at, and Rob, memories R.I.P big guy.
When I worked at the Canterbury Hotel in downtown Indy, Claude played for high tea. Claude would stroll in a few minutes early, wander back into the kitchen, swipe a few finger sandwiches or pastries (much to the chef's chagrin) and then take a seat at the piano in the Atrium. "Jitterbug Waltz", an old Fats Waller tune, was always a highlight, and I never heard Claude play it the same way twice. It just kept getting better and better every time. RIP.
This is tentatively planned to air on WFYI in Indianapolis this December. I will post the exact air dates when we have them. Thanks for your interest!
Thanks for sharing these clips, I can't wait to see the whole documentary! I had the honor of studying with Claude during the last year of his life...he was a wonderful mentor and friend, in addition to being the greatest pianist I've ever known. I miss him a lot, but I'm thankful to be one of the many lives he changed for the better.

@vinnieman2000 Awesome. My roommate is actually Zach Lapidus who plays with Frank on a regular basis, so I have a vested interest :) Thanks!
