The software Pencil? I dunno because I've never used it.

Or if you mean a literal pencil, then I guess you could draw the individual frames and scan them onto your computer, and then use a program to animate them, add music, and convert them to a .mov.

Pencil is kinda like Flash but you draw frame by frame and have to keep redoing.

But like I said before, I simply heard that Pikachu was supposed to be female in the Japanese version. I don't know if it's true or what, I haven't seen the Japanese anime other than a couple episodes and two movies, and they never mention Pikachu's gender.

I know Ash's Pikachu is a boy in the American anime because in the episode Princess vs. Princess, Pikachu is grouped with the guys as one who has to carry packages for Misty.
