@firebirdwings Ya think? I personally liked them all the way up to Tejas in 1976. Granted the got huge after Tres Hombres but they still kept their sound. When they came back in 1979, they just werent the same band from texas and they forgot even about that by the time they made eliminator...

I met Billy at the "Dan the Guitar Man's" Airline Guitar Shop" that used to be on I-45 here in Houston , and the first thing I asked him was, "man, how did you get such a hot, lively tone on this song"? Of course, he said, " That's Pearly blasted through 3 of Jeff Becks old Marshall super leads, cranked to 11" haha.., an obvious reference to the Spinal tap movie. The tone of his guitar on this particular song.. just unmatched...anywhere.
